KalimNews, Kalimpong, 12 March 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

1 Death: Mamuni Lahiri, 41 yr old of Deshbandhupara, Siliguri died in RICU Ward of NBMCH, she had respiratory ailments.

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 290, Kalimpong- 36, Jalpaiguri - 281, Alipurduar-300; TOTAL= 847. 7 newly tested positive.

4 in SMC:

4 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (2 in Darjeeling and 2 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

3 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 3 positive cases of the district, 2 is from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.1 case is reported from the Darjeeling Hills (Sukhiapokhari) and 0 case from the plains tested positive..

During the last 24 hours 2 suspected Covid patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, no patient in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward and in Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.
