14 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 3 in Kalimpong, 1 in Pulbazar, tested positive. Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna. 

6 in Malda, 4 in Alipurduar, 6 in Coochbehar, 28 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 2 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

Nil Death: 

No death recorded during the last 24 hours.

8 in SMC:

8 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (2 in Darjeeling and 6 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

4 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 4 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 2 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 1 is from Darjeeling hills- 1 in Pulbazar, tested positive. Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 21 new cases,17891 confirmed cases of which 17225 have recovered and 198 died while 468 are active cases.

3 in Kalimpong:

3 new cases, 5 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 3 new cases, 2173 confirmed cases of which 2102 have recovered, 24 died and 47 are active cases.

4 in Alipurduar:

4 new cases, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7645 confirmed cases of which 7513 have recovered and 85 died while 47 are active cases.

6 in Coochbehar: 

6 new cases, 16 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 9 new cases, 11687 confirmed cases of which 11391 have recovered, 72 died and 224 are active cases.

28 in Jalpaiguri: 

28 new cases, 14 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 20 new cases, 14411 confirmed cases of which 155 died while 13869 have recovered and 387 are active cases.

6 in Malda:  

1death, 6 new cases, 21 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 10 new cases, 12497 confirmed cases of which 12137 have recovered and 112 died and 248 are active cases.

14 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 14 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 8 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 2 in Surgical isolation ward and 4 in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients in Isolation ward -1.

1 each of 1st Division Som TE Darjeeling and Algarah Kalimpong –total 2 of GTA area aadmitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 21 Covid-19 patients (5 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 3 patients newly admitted and 5 released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of Lebong Darjeeling, Takdah Cantonment, Saureni Mirik and Naya Bazar Kurseong - total 4 of GTA area admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 4 Covid-19 patients are admitted and nil patients are newly admitted and 5 released.

 - total nil of GTA area is admitted in this hospital.

TRIBENI Covid Hospital 

6 patients of Darjeeling and 5 from Kalimpong are admitted, nil released in this hospital.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 326 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 449 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 775.

There are 6 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 11 in GTA area and 4 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe homes outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 21 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
