KalimNews, Kalimpong, 24 January 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

0 Death:

5 in SMC:

5 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (4 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

7 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 7 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 4 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 1 is from Darjeeling Hills- 1 of Darjeeling Municipality.

Of the plains they are- 2 in Matigara. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 20 new cases,18245 confirmed cases of which 17816 have recovered and 203 died while 226 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new case, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2216 confirmed cases of which 2151 have recovered, 25 died and 40 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new case, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new case, 7687 confirmed cases of which 7565 have recovered and 86 died while 36 are active cases.

4 in Coochbehar: 

4 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 4 new cases, 11798 confirmed cases of which 11650 have recovered, 72 died and 76 are active cases.

7 in Jalpaiguri: 

7 new case, 7 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 4 new cases, 14605 confirmed cases of which 159 died while 14297 have recovered and 149 are active cases.

7 in Uttar Dinajpur:

7 new cases, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 Uttar Dinajpur records 2 new cases, 6592 confirmed cases of which 73 died while 6416 have recovered and 103 are active cases.

0 new case, 2 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Dakshin Dinajpur records 1 new case, 81444 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8025 have recovered and 45 are active cases.

0 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 1 new case, 12620 confirmed cases of which 12399 have recovered and 113 died and 108 are active cases.

10 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 10 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in all three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 10 Covid-19 patients (5 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 1 patient is newly admitted and 1 released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 20 new cases,18245 confirmed cases of which 17816 have recovered and 203 died while 226 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 1 new case, 2216 confirmed cases of which 2151 have recovered, 25 died and 40 are active cases.
