16 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 1 in Kalimpong, tested positive.

Of the plains they are- 1 in Matigara and 1 in Naxalbari.

2 in Alipurduar, 0 in Coochbehar, 7 in Jalpaiguri, 4 in Malda, 10 in Uttar Dinajpur, 2 in Dakshin Dinajpur districts tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 January 2021 : Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

1 Death: 

Kumar Pradhan, 66 yr old of Mirik died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid SS Hospital.

4 in SMC:

4 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (2 in Darjeeling and 2 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

4 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 4 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 2 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, while 0 is from Darjeeling Hills - tested positive

Of the plains they are- 1 in Matigara and 1 in Naxalbari.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 10 new cases,18195 confirmed cases of which 17770 have recovered and 201 died while 224 are active cases.

1 in Kalimpong:

1 new cases, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, 2207 confirmed cases of which 2148 have recovered, 25 died and 34 are active cases.

2 in Alipurduar:

2 new cases, 1 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7684 confirmed cases of which 7560 have recovered and 86 died while 38 are active cases.

0 in Coochbehar: 

0 new cases, 2 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 1 new cases, 11789 confirmed cases of which 11634 have recovered, 72 died and 85 are active cases.

7 in Jalpaiguri: 

1 death, 7 new cases, 14 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 5 new cases, 14587 confirmed cases of which 159 died while 14281 have recovered and 147 are active cases.

10 in Uttar Dinajpur:

10 new cases, 4 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 3 new cases, 6578 confirmed cases of which 73 died while 6405 have recovered and 100 are active cases.

2 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

2 new cases, 1 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 3 new cases, 8138 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8022 have recovered and 42 are active cases.

4 in Malda:  

4 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 5 new cases, 12610 confirmed cases of which 12378 have recovered and 113 died and 119 are active cases.

16 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 16 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in all three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, in Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 11 Covid-19 patients (3 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 1 patient is newly admitted and 2 released.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 10 new cases,18195 confirmed cases of which 17770 have recovered and 201 died while 224 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 1 new cases, 2207 confirmed cases of which 2148 have recovered, 25 died and 34 are active cases.
