1 death (of Kalimpong): 8 of Hills (4 of Kalimpong and 4 of Darjeeling),11 of SMC infected

21 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 4 in Kalimpong, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Mirik, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 in Takdah tested positive. Of the plains they are- 2 in Matigara, 1 in Naxalbari.

15 in Malda, 1 in Alipurduar, 4 in Coochbehar, 24 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 30 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

1 Death: 

Manoj Chhetri, 45 yr old Kalimpong (had ARDS and admitted on 22 Dec) died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara. 

11 in SMC:

11 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (7 in Darjeeling and 4 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

14 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 14 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 7 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 4 are from Darjeeling hills- 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Mirik, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 in Takdah tested positive. Of the plains they are- 2 in Matigara, 1 in Naxalbari.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 45 new cases,17785 confirmed cases of which 17085 have recovered and 197 died while 503 are active cases.

4 in Kalimpong:

4 new cases, 5 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 4 new cases, 2161 confirmed cases of which 2086 have recovered, 23 died and 52 are active cases.

1 in Alipurduar:

1 new cases, 7 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 1 new cases, 7632 confirmed cases of which 7496 have recovered and 85 died while 51 are active cases.

4 in Coochbehar: 

1 death, 4 new cases, 31 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 4 new cases, 11657 confirmed cases of which 11323 have recovered, 72 died and 262 are active cases.

24 in Jalpaiguri: 

24 new cases, 51 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 24 new cases, 14338 confirmed cases of which 155 died while 13787 have recovered and 396 are active cases.

15 in Malda:  

15 new cases, 31 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 15 new cases, 12465 confirmed cases of which 12034 have recovered and 111 died and 289 are active cases.

21 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 21 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 6 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 1 in Surgical isolation ward and 3 in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients inIsolation ward -1.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 18 Covid-19 patients (7 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 5 patients newly admitted and 3 released. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 20 Covid-19 patients are admitted and nil patients are newly admitted and 1 released.
