1 death: 28 of Takdah, 12 of Kalimpong, 46 of Darjeeling, 12 of SMC, 26 of GTA infected

37 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 12 in Kalimpong, 28 in Takdah, 1 in Mirik, 1 in Sukhiapokhari tested positive. Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari,  2 in Matigara, 6 in Naxalbari 

13 in Malda, 8 in Alipurduar, 7 in Coochbehar, 24 in Jalpaiguri and tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 28 December 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

1 Death: 

Pradip Saha, 56 yr old of 18 Khai Shivmandir Siliguri died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara.

12 in SMC:

12 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (6 in Darjeeling and 6 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

46 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 46 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district, 6 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 30 is from the Darjeeling hills - 28 in Takdah, 1 in Mirik, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, tested positive. Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna, 1 in Khoribari,  2 in Matigara, 6 in Naxalbari 

1 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar,and 1 in Phansidewa, , 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 64 new cases,17702 confirmed cases of which 169997 have recovered and 197 died while 508 are active cases.

12 in Kalimpong:

12 new cases, 8 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 12 new cases, 2153 confirmed cases of which 2074 have recovered, 23 died and 56 are active cases.

13 in Malda:  

13 new cases, 30 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 13 new cases, 12438 confirmed cases of which 12005 have recovered and 111 died and 322 are active cases.

2 in Alipurduar:

2 new cases, 7 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 2 new cases, 7619 confirmed cases of which 7482 have recovered and 85 died while 52 are active cases.

7 in Coochbehar: 

7 new cases, 79 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 7 new cases, 11633 confirmed cases of which 11263 have recovered, 71 died and 299 are active cases.

24 in Jalpaiguri: 

24 new cases, 37 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 24 new cases, 14281 confirmed cases of which 155 died while 13708 have recovered and 418 are active cases.

37 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 37 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita Nursing Home, Tribeni Covid Hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 11 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients are admitted in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 3 in Surgical isolation ward  and 3 in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, and no patients inIsolation ward -1.

1 of Tindharia, 1 of Som TE Darjeeling and 1 of Algarah Kalimpong –total 2 of GTA area are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 15 Covid-19 patients (9 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours 5 patient newly admitted and 1 released.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 of Lebong Darjeeling, 1 of Kalimpong- total 2 of GTA area is admitted. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 21 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 10 patients are newly admitted and 2 released.

1  each of Rungbull Jorebunglow, Navin gram Darjeeling, Rohini TE Kurseong, Deusi Danra Mirik,  -total 4 of GTA area admitted.

GTA

TRIBENI Covid Hospital 

8 patients of Darjeeling and 4 from Kalimpong are admitted, 4 released in this hospital.

2 asymptomatic Covid patients of Darjeeling are being treated here.

2 asymptomatic Covid patients of Darjeeling are being treated here

1 asymptomatic Covid patients of Kalimpong district are admitted and being treated here.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 326 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 493 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 819.

There are 9 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 12 in GTA area and 5 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe homes outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 26 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
