6 death (4 of Siliguri); 29 of Hills (13 of Kalimpong and 16 of Darjeeling), 48 of SMC infected

76 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 13 in Kalimpong, - 3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 4 in Mirik, 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 5 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari,  13 in Matigara, 11 in Naxalbari, and  6 in Phansidewa tested positive. 27 in Alipurduar, 104 in Coochbehar, 102 in Jalpaiguri, 46 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 7 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

6 Death: 6 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Kamala Karmakar, 55 yr old of Kasibari Haldibari;  

Subodh Saha, 60 yr old of Kalagaj Uttardinajpur died in in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

Ramjan Ali, 48 yr old of Sushrutnagar Kawakhali Matigara;

Nirmalendu Das Choudhary, 62 yr old of  60 Surya Sikha Sarami Hyderpara died in Desun Covid Hospital.

Siril Kujur , 55 yr old of Phansidewa;

Rabin Minj, 51 yr old of Church more Phansidewa died in RICU ward NBMCH

48 of SMC: 

48 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (35 of Darjeeling and 13 of Jalpaiguri district) tested positive. 

 

89 in Darjeeling district:

Of the  89 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 35 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 17 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 4 in Mirik, 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 5 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari,  13 in Matigara, 11 in Naxalbari, and  6 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 148 new cases, 12449 confirmed cases of which 11040 have recovered and 147 died while 1262 are active cases.

13 in Kalimpong:

13 new cases from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 13 new cases, 1513 confirmed cases of which 1420 have recovered, 17 died and 76 are active cases.

46 in Malda:  

46 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 40 new cases, 10343 confirmed cases of which 9389 have recovered and 88 died and 866 are active cases.

 
27 in Alipurduar:

27 new cases, 17 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 50 new cases, 6627 confirmed cases of which 6329 have recovered and 78 died while 220 are active cases.

104 in Coochbehar: 

104 new cases with 70 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 92 new cases, 9214 confirmed cases of which 8281 have recovered, 55 died and 878 are active cases.

102 in Jalpaiguri: 

102 new cases, 66 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 95 new cases,  9775 confirmed cases of which 95 died while 8803 have recovered and 877 are active cases.

76 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 76 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 29 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 9 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 13 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 7 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 83 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 16 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 10 patients are newly admitted and 4 are released. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 75 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 6 patients are newly admitted, 5 are released.
