4 death, 25 of Hills (11 of Kalimpong and 14 of Darjeeling), 69 of SMC, 119 of Darj dist infected, 61 Active cases in GTA

75 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 7 in Kalimpong, - 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, and 8 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 6 in Sukuna, 5 in Khoribari, 24 in Matigara, 17 in Naxalbari, and 6 in Phansidewa tested positive. 37 in Alipurduar, 94 in Coochbehar, 126 in Jalpaiguri, 64 in Malda tested positive.

 KalimNews, Kalimpong, 3 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

4 Death: 4 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Basana Sarkar, 56 yr old of Ulladbari, Maynaguri;  and

Binod Sen, 55 yr old of Dakshin Muabari, Maynaguri died in Desun Covid Hospital.

Subrata Basu, 60 yr old of Sukantanagar Bhaktinagar died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

Sapan Dutta, 64 yr old of Anandanagar Maynaguri died in a Nursing Home at Sevoke Road. 

69 of SMC:

69 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (47 of Darjeeling and 22 of Jalpaiguri district) tested positive. 

119 in Darjeeling district:

Of the  119 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 47 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 14 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, and 8 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 6 in Sukuna, 5 in Khoribari,  24 in Matigara, 17 in Naxalbari, and 6 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 138 new cases has 11911 confirmed cases of which 10389 have recovered and 142 died while 1380 are active cases. 

11 in Kalimpong: 

11 new cases from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours  Kalimpong district with 11 new cases has 1464 confirmed cases of which 1349 have recovered, 15 died and 100 are active cases.  

64 in Malda: 

64 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 64 new cases has 9981 confirmed cases of which 8914 have recovered and 88 died and 979 are active cases.

 

37 in Alipurduar:

37 new cases, 47 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 37 new cases has 6489 confirmed cases of which 6130 have recovered and 76 died while 283 are active cases. 

94 in Coochbehar: 

94 new cases with 94 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last24 hours Coochbehar with 96 new cases has 8850 confirmed cases of which 7830 have recovered, 54 died and 966 are active cases. 

 

126 in Jalpaiguri: 

2 died, 126 new cases, 151 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 126 new cases has 9403 confirmed cases of which 90 died while 8250 have recovered and 1063 are active cases.  

75 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 75 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 17 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 9 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 4 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 60 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 19 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 13 patients are newly admitted and 5 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Singel TE, Bhotay Busty Darjeeling, Ging, Ava Art Gallery, 1 of Ujjaray Busty Kurseong, Mahanadi Bazar Kurseong, Borbong Kurseong, Makaibari, Mungpoo, Tamsang Khasmahal, Kurseong, Dudhia, NorthPoint Darjeeling and Jholung GTA area are admitted.

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 68 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 9 patients are newly admitted, 2 are released.

1 each of Gandhigrami, MV Road Kurseong, and Paren Jaldhaka, Sindebong Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES
The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 628 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 617 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1245.

There are 15 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 27 in GTA area and 18 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 1 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 61 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
