3 death, 21 of Hills (7 of Kalimpong and 14 of Darjeeling), 59 of SMC infected,

53 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 7 in Kalimpong, 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 2 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 2 in Khoribari,  8 in Matigara, 4 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive. 52 in Alipurduar, 74 in Coochbehar, 95 in Jalpaiguri, 87 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 1 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

3 Death: 3 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Rama Sarkar, 60 yr old of Rupnarayan Road Kotwali Thana in Coochbehar died in in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital transferred from Coochbehar Hospital.

Gopal Rai, 56 yr old of Nathuhat Banarhat died in Surgical ward of NBMCH.

Dilip Rai, 68 yr old of Takdah died in in a Nursing Home at Sevoke Road

59 of SMC:

59 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (31 in Darjeeling and 28 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

63 in Darjeeling district: Of the  tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 31 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 14 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 2 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 2 in Khoribari,  8 in Matigara, 4 in Naxalbari, and 1 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 133 new cases has 11618 confirmed cases of which 10057 have recovered and 140 died while 1421 are active cases. 

7 in Kalimpong: 

7 new cases from Kalimpong reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 7 new cases has 1441 confirmed cases of which 1322 have recovered, 15 died and 104 are active cases. 

87 in Malda: 

87 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 63 new cases has 9861 confirmed cases of which 8732 have recovered and 85 died and 1044 are active cases.

52 in Alipurduar:

52 new cases, 68 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 31 new cases has 6440 confirmed cases of which 6031 have recovered and 76 died while 333 are active cases. 

74 in Coochbehar: 

1 died, 74 new cases with 94 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last Coochbehar with 74 new cases has 8644 confirmed cases of which 7654 have recovered, 52 died and 938 are active cases. 

 

95 in Jalpaiguri: 

95 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 95 new cases has 9150 confirmed cases of which 87 died while 8018 have recovered and 1045 are active cases. 

 

53 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 53 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 12 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 7 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 2 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 50 Covid-19 patients are admitted while15 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 12 patients are newly admitted and 7 are released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 65 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 12 patients are newly admitted, 10 are released.
