Weather Warning for the Region During Next Five Days

Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over central parts of Bay of Bengal & neighborhood, a Lowpressure area has formed over the same region with associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level. It is likely become more marked.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 October 2020: Southwest monsoon been active over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and subdued over Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkimand West Bengal. Heavy rain occurred at one or two places over Odisha. Rain occurred at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Odisha and at one or two places over Sikkim and West Bengal.

Weather remained mainly dry over Bihar and Jharkhand. Conditions are becoming favorable for withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from remaining parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, northern parts of West Bengal and Sikkim,Jharkhand, remaining parts of of Madhya Pradesh, northern parts of Chhattisgarh, remaining parts of Gujarat state and north Arabian Sea, parts of central Arabian Sea and northern parts of Maharashtra during next 2--3days.

1)Heavy rain (07-11)cm likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha. 

2) Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha and North & South 24 Parganas, East & West Midnapore, Howrah, Hooghly, Nadia districts of Gangetic West Bengal.

Wednesday 21 October (DAY2)  :

1)Heavy rain (07-11)cm likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha. 

2)Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over Gangetic West Bengal.

Thursday 22 October (DAY3) : 

1) Heavy to very heavy rain (07-20)cm likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha. 

2) Heavy rain likely to occur at one or two places over East Midnapore, North & South 24 Parganas,Howrah districts of Gangetic West Bengal. 

3) Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.
