Nepali movie `Jeeudo' set for re-release today

SNS, SILIGURI, 29 OCTOBER 2020 : 'Jeeudo', a debut Nepali film by Aalmist Subba as Actor/Director, which managed to garner rave reviews earlier, is all set for a re-release in theatres in Darjeeling and Siliguri tomorrow.
"Jeeudo", which means 'alive' in the Nepali language, is a story based on love, myth and fate, where the four main protagonists (Akash, Jolie, Pooja and Chyangba), who have faced 'deprived childhood and aspirations' set out on a joumey to make it big in their lives. The movie with English subtitles will be re- released in Inox Darjeeling (1:30 pm) and Siliguri (City Centre 3:00 pm and Vega Mall 5:30 pm) on 30 October.
The movie had been running successfully in theatres in the region prior to the lock-down in March.
"Jeeudo has been a treat to all movie lovers and also the audiences are highly appreciating the original story, the actors and technicians involved. They have rated Jeeudo as one of the best movies and given it 9.8 out of 10 on the IMDb," said Mr Subba.
IMDb is Internet Movie Database, an online database of information related to films, television programmes, home videos, video games, and streaming content online.
According to him, the movie was screened for 1-2 weeks in theaters around Sikkim and North Bengal, but they had to stop the screenings because of the pandemic and the ensuing lockdown. "The movie is now back in theatres after almost seven months on huge public demand," he said, also appealing to all to support the local creation just like they support quality movies from Bollywood and Hollywood.
Mr Subba also said that 'Jeeudo' will be the first Nepali film to be released in theaters as they reopen after the protracted lockdown.
"The theaters will follow all Covid-19 protocols for the safety of the audiences," he said. He further said that the movie will also be screened in the Dream Theatre in Kalimpong, Mangpo, Chamong, Pokhriabong, Murmah,
