4 of Siliguri, 2 of Falakatta, 1 of Jaigaon, 1 of Coochbehar died, 119 in Darjeeling. 81 recovered from Covid-19, 119 of Darjeeling, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 13 in Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling, 10 in Kurseong, 1 in Pulbazar, 3 in Takdah, 3 in Mirik and 5 in Sukhiapokhari. Of the plains they are- 9 in Sukuna, 13 in Matigara, 4 in Naxalbari, 8 in Phansidewa and 8 in Khoribari, 66 in Alipurduar, 83 in Jalpaiguri, 103 in Coochbehar, 82 in Malda, tested positive.

8 Death: 8 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. Pranati Chakraborty, 55 yr old of Rajarhat Coochbehar and Anima Chaudhury, 65 yr old of Khoribari died in Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital.

Ranesh Roy Talukdar, 59 yr old TMC leader of Falakatta died in a Nursing Home at Naya Bazar.  

Mita Sinha, 72 yr old of Deshbandhupara 29 No Ward Siliguri in another nursing home.

Beside that Dr. Janhavi Basu, 78 yr old retired Principal of Siliguri College of Subhaspalli a 73 yr old of Falakatta, a 62 yr old of Jaigaon died in different a Nursing Homes of Siliguri.

Ranu Mondal, 65 yr old of Khoribari died in Respiratory Isolation Ward (RICU) of NBMCH.

66 of SMC:

66 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (53 in Darjeeling and 13 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive.

119 of Darjeeling district:
Of the 119 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 53 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 24 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are -2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 10 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar,  3 in Takdah, 3 in Mirik and 5 in Sukhiapokhari. Of the plains they are- 9 in Sukuna, 13 in Matigara, 4 in Naxalbari, 8 in Phansidewa and 8 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 95 new cases has 8634 confirmed cases of which 7716 have recovered and 115 died while 803 are active cases. 

13 of Kalimpong: 

13 new cases from Kalimpong reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 21 new cases has 1094 confirmed cases of which 949 have recovered, 7 died and 135 are active cases. 

82 of Malda: 

82 new cases, 78 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 82 new cases has 7465 confirmed cases of which 6681 have recovered and 56 died and 728 are active cases.

66 of Alipurduar:
1 died, 66 new cases, 23 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 66 new cases has 5193 confirmed cases of which 4565 have recovered and 65 died while 563 are active cases. 

103 of Coochbehar: 

103 new cases with 93 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 92 new cases has 6500 confirmed cases of which 5677 have recovered, 43 died and 780 are active cases. 

83 of Jalpaiguri: 

3 died, 83 new cases 68 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 83 new cases has 6714 confirmed cases of which 65 died while 5928 have recovered and 721 are active cases. 

81 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 81 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

20 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 10 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 6 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Kumai and 2 of Samabeong TE Lava and are admitted  .

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 116 Covid-19 patients are admitted (Only 4 seats vacant). At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 5 of Mirik, 1 each of Naya Bazar Kurseong,  Saureni Mirik, Krishnanagar Mirik, RN Sinha Road Darjeeling, Darjeeling Sadar, Dr. Z. Hussain Rd, Saureni, Kutchery Road, Kurseong, Badamtam TE and 1 each of Sadhudhara, Primtam Road, Murgihatta, East Main Road, Kalimpong,  and Munsong of GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 96 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 19 patients are newly admitted and 18 released. (Only 4 seats vacant)

1 each of Margaret’s Hope Tea Estate Sukhipokhari, Montiviot Toad Kurseong and Bagdhara Kalimpong and 9^th Mile Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released. 25 patients are being treated in its Safe home.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1058 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 617 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1675.

There are 22 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 20 in GTA area and 19 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 61 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
