5 dies, 18 of Darjeeling Hills, 49 of SMC infected

31 recovered from Covid-19,  Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 19 in Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 14 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 4 in Sukuna, 32 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 9 in Phansidewa and 4 in Khoribari tested positive. 58 in Alipurduar, 93 in Jalpaiguri, 85 in Coochbehar, 95 in Malda tested positive.

5 Death: 

5 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. 

Raj Karki, 39 yr old ASI of Siliguri Police Commissionerate -Traffic of New Chumta Patherghata died in a Nursing Home at Sevoke Road.

Shova Acharya, 56 yr old of Ghughumali  died in RICU ward of NBMCH. 

Ajadi Barla, 30 yr old of Naya Sailee TE Nagarkatta died in NBMCH. Yesterday her 4 yr old had died in NBMCH.

Taritakanta Ghose, 64 yr old of Ukilpara Raigunj died in Desun Covid Hospital

Amir Hussain, 40 yr old of Gosaighat Jalpaiguri  died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

49 of SMC:

49 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (32 in Darjeeling and 17 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

114 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 114 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 55 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 18 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 14 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar, 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 4 in Sukuna, 32 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 9 in Phansidewa and 4 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 112 new cases has 10104 confirmed cases of which 8889 have recovered and 132 died while 1083 are active cases. 

95 of Malda: 

1 dead, 95 new cases, 102 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 99 new cases has 8778 confirmed cases of which 7821 have recovered and 73 died and 884 are active cases.

58 of Alipurduar:

58 new cases, 48 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 51 new cases has 6032 confirmed cases of which 53930 have recovered and 73 died while 569 are active cases. 

85 of Coochbehar: 

1 dead, 85 new cases with 90 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 94 new cases has 7650 confirmed cases of which 6785 have recovered, 50 died and 815 are active cases. 

93 of Jalpaiguri:  

2 dead, 93 new cases with 61 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 93 new cases has 8035 confirmed cases of which 80 died while 6907 have recovered and 1048 are active cases. 

31 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 31 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 14 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 8 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 2 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 53 Covid-19 patients are admitted, while during the last 24 hours 8 patients are newly admitted and 7 are released and 2 are referred. 

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of Singel TE, Naya Bazar, M V Road, Dhoteriah, Tiger Hill Road, Lowr Dumaram, Upper Dumaram, Holy Cross and 1 of Dr. Grahms Homes, Sinji, Sindebong, Lava, Kalimpong, GTA area are admitted. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 52 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 9 patients are newly admitted and 12 released. 

1 each of M.B. T.E, MV Road Kurseong, Mahendra Gaon Mirik and DM Office, DS Gurung Road Kalimpong GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 744 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 613 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1357.

There are 18 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 16 in GTA area and 11 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 1 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 46 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes. 

Number of Covid patients in the six districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs stated that Darjeeling district with 112 new cases has 10104 confirmed cases of which 8889 have recovered and 132 died while 1083 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district with 13 new cases has 1322 confirmed cases of which 1158 have recovered, 11 died and 153 are active cases. 

Alipurduar with 51 new cases has 6032 confirmed cases of which 53930 have recovered and 73 died while 569 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri with 93 new cases has 8035 confirmed cases of which 80 died while 6907 have recovered and 1048 are active cases.
