4 die, 21 in hills, 32 in SMC 90 in Darjeeling district tests positive

18 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 6 in Kalimpong, 11 in Mirik, 1 each in Darjeeling, Kurseong, Sukhiapokhari, Takdah, and of the plains they are- 2 in Sukuna, 18 in Naxalbari, 6 in Phansidewa and 1 in Khoribari, 27 in Matigara, 80 in Coochbehar, 56 in Alipurduar, 87 in Jalpaiguri, 66 in Malda tested positive.

4 Death:

3 death reported during the last 24 hours in a dedicated Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. Prandev Sarkar, 45 year old resident of Hatath Colony Dabgram in Siliguri;  Manik Mandal, 60 year old resident of Paschim Durabari Bamerhat Jalpaiguri;  Kashinath Chakraborty, 56 year old Pundibari Coochbehar; Gobind Chandra Sarkar, 84 year old resident of Deshbandhupara Mathabhanga in Cooch Behar died in Desun Covid Hospital.

32 of SMC:

32 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (21 in Darjeeling and 11 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. They are 3 of Ward nos. 22, 36, 37; 2 of Ward nos. 12, 46 ; 1 each of Ward nos.1, 4, 5, 8, 13, 14, 15, 20, 27, 33, 35, 39, 40, Arabinda Palli, Bhaktinagar, Adarshnagar, Telipara , Dabgram.

90 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 90 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 21 are from SMC area. Of the rest 69 of the district 15 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are -1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 11 in Mirik, 1 in Takdah, of the plains they are- 2 in Sukuna, 27 in Matigara, 18 in Naxalbari, 6 in Phansidewa and 1 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

Departments bulletin states Darjeeling district with 79 new cases has 7884 confirmed cases of which 7134 have recovered and 110 died while 640 are active cases. 

6 in Kalimpong: 

6 new cases reported, Departments bulletin states Kalimpong district with 21 new cases has 975 confirmed cases of which 815 have recovered, 7 died and 153 are active cases. 

66 of Malda: 

66 new cases, 4 release reported today from Malda. Departments bulletin states Malda with 66 new cases has 6761 confirmed cases of which 6252 have recovered and 56 died and 453 are active cases.

56 of Alipurduar:  

1 died, 56 new cases, 66 released reported. 

Departments bulletin states Alipurduar with 56 new cases has 4629 confirmed cases of which 4089 have recovered and 51 died while 489 are active cases. 

80 of Coochbehar:  

1 dead, 80 new cases with 90 release reported. Departments bulletin states Coochbehar with 87 new cases has 5774 confirmed cases of which 5039 have recovered, 39 died and 696 are active cases. 

87 of Jalpaiguri:  

1 of Dhupguri died, 87 new cases 76 release, reported from Jalpaiguri today. Departments bulletin states Jalpaiguri with 87 new cases has 6028 confirmed cases of which 58 died while 5461 have recovered and 509 are active cases. 

18 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 18 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

7 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is 2 patient in Surgical isolation ward, and 4 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward and 1 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward are admitted.

1 of Teesta and 1 of Chhota Suruk Kalimpong admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 1 each of, Sonada, Simulbari, Silban Garidhura, Bloomfield, Naya Bazar, Mahldiram, Krishnanagar Mirik, Rongchong Lohapul, Saureni Mirik, Dr. Hussain Rd, Ghayabari, Batasia, Kurseong, Mirik, Rimbick Bazar and 1 each of, Rockvale,  Sadhudhara, Kalimpong , Rambi Bazar, and Samthar of GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 60 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 15 are in ICU and 13 patients are newly admitted and 7 released

1 each of Bhutia Busty, Lower Manju, 2 of Mungpoo, and 1 of 8th Mile Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

48 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 5 patients are released.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1086 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 632 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1718.

There are 25 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 21 in GTA area and 35 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 7 in 2 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 88 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
