4 death , 36 of Hills, 45 of SMC infected

3 of Siliguri died, 55 recovered from Covid-19,  Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 142 of Darjeeling district, 12 of Kalimpong, 3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 10 in Kurseong Municipality, 5 Mirik, 4 in Pulbazar and 2 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 15 in Sukuna, 36 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 9 in Phansidewa and 12 in Khoribari. 65 in Alipurduar, 74 in Jalpaiguri, 73 in Coochbehar, 95 in Malda tested positive.

4 Death: 

4 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district.

Dulal Chandra Saha, 65 yr old of Matigara,   Sefali Basu, 74 yr old of Matigara and Matuja Khatun 60 yr old of Ravikhana Dhupguri died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid hospital

Kamta Singha, 53 yr old of Sukuna died in a nursing Home.

 

45 of SMC:

45 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (31 in Darjeeling and 14 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. North Bengal Dev Minister Rabindra Nath Ghose tested negative and released from Hospital.

 

142 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 142 tested positive cases (some were repeated tests) of Darjeeling district 31 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 24 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are - 3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 10 in Kurseong Municipality, 5 Mirik, 4 in Pulbazar and 2 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 15 in Sukuna, 36 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 9 in Phansidewa and 12 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 105 new cases has 9026 confirmed cases of which 8105 have recovered and 123 died while 798 are active cases. 

 

12 of Kalimpong: 

12 new case from Kalimpong reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 14 new cases has 1176 confirmed cases of which 1009 have recovered, 8 died and 159 are active cases.  

 

95 of Malda: 

95 new cases, 84 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 98 new cases has 7921 confirmed cases of which 7006 have recovered and 62 died and 853 are active cases.

 

65 of Alipurduar:

65 new cases, 76 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 64 new cases has 5468 confirmed cases of which 4817 have recovered and 66 died while 585 are active cases. 

 

73 of Coochbehar: 

73 new cases with 92 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 92 new cases has 6872 confirmed cases of which 6044 have recovered, 45 died and 783 are active cases. 

 

74 of Jalpaiguri: 

1 dead, 74 new cases 94 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 74 new cases has 6997 confirmed cases of which 66 died while 6258 have recovered and 673 are active cases. 

 

55 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 55 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today.

17 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 11 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 1 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Kumai and 1 of Samabeong TE Lava are admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, Covid-19 patients are admitted. At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- Badamtam TE, Som TE, GCP Kurseong, Gidha Chandra Busty, Kurseong Hospital, Tungsung, Bagora, Darjeeling and Singel TE and 1 each of Sadhudhara, East Main Road, Pudung Busty Kalimpong,  and Munsong and 2 of Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 73 Covid-19 patients are admitted and  5 patients are newly admitted .

1 each of Montiviot Road Kurseong and 9th Mile and Butchery Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 872 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 628 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1500.

There are 19 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 26 in GTA area and 31 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 80 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
