60 recovered from Covid-19,  Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 16 of Kalimpong, 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Kurseong Municipality, 6 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 2 in Takdah and 5 in Mirik. 3 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 22 in Naxalbari, 7 in Phansidewa and 5 in Khoribari, 38 in Alipurduar, 108 in Jalpaiguri, 68 in Coochbehar, 57 in Malda tested positive.

3 Death: 

3 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district.

Haripada Sutradhar, 70 yr old of Shantipara -NJP Bhaktinagar referred from NBMCH and

Binod Basak , 50 yr old of Ramgunj of Islampur died in Desun Covid Hospital.

Ashok kr Majumdar, 77 yr old of Baghajatin colony Pradhannagar died in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital

 

57 of SMC:

57 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (40 in Darjeeling and 17 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

 

113 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 113 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 40 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 19 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 4 in Darjeeling Municipality (Chhota Kagjhora), 1 in Kurseong Municipality (Subedar Busty), 6 in Sukhiapokhari (Upper Prashanti), 1 in Pulbazar (Ging TE), 2 in Takdah and 5 in Mirik (Panighatta, Lohagarh). Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 22 in Naxalbari (20 of Bagdogra Military Hospital), 7 in Phansidewa and 5 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 156 new cases has 9843 confirmed cases of which 8692 have recovered and 129 died while 1022 are active cases. 

 

16 of Kalimpong: 

16 new cases from Kalimpong Town, Algarah and Gorubathan reported, All are admitted at Triveni Covid Hospital. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 7 new cases has 1290 confirmed cases of which 1125 have recovered, 11 died and 154 are active cases. 

 

57 of Malda: 

57 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 119 new cases has 8613 confirmed cases of which 7597 have recovered and 69 died and 726 are active cases

 

38 of Alipurduar:

38 new cases, 52 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 64 new cases has 5913 confirmed cases of which 5259 have recovered and 73 died while 581 are active cases. 

68 of Coochbehar: 

68 new cases with 46 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 94 new cases has 7466 confirmed cases of which 6608 have recovered, 47 died and 811 are active cases. 

108 of Jalpaiguri: 

108 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 108 new cases has 7799 confirmed cases of which 76 died while 6773 have recovered and 950 are active cases. 

60 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 60 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 15 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 5 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 5 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 63 Covid-19 patients are admitted, while during the last 24 hours 16 patients are newly admitted and 7 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of Singel TE, Kurseong, Tungsung, Darjeeling, Naya Bazar, M V Road, Dhoteriah, Tiger Hill and 1 of Sindebong Kalimpong, GTA area are admitted.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 49 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 7 patients are newly admitted and 2 released.

1 each of Giddhepahar Kurseong, M.B. T.E, MV Road Kurseong, Mahendra Gaon Mirik and Pudung Busty Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 836 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 634 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1470.

There are 14 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 22 in GTA area and 13 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 53 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
