3 death, 24 of Hills (12 of Kalimpong and 12 of Darjeeling), 42 of SMC infected,

82 recovered from Covid-19,  Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 10 of Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar and 1 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 7 in Matigara, 12 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 2 in Khoribari, 59 in Alipurduar, 118 in Jalpaiguri, 116 in Coochbehar, 104 in Malda tested positive.

3 Death: 3 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. 

Rajendra Balmiki, 60 yr old of Rabindrapalli Bidhannagar died in Desun Covid Hospital.

Binod Soren, 35 yr old of Khoribari died in RICU ward of NBMCH.

Sanjeev Kr Dev, 49 yr old of Deshbandhupara died in a Nursing Home of Sevoke Road.

42 of SMC:

42 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (38 in Darjeeling and 4 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

76 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 76 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 28 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 12 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar and 1 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 7 in Matigara, 12 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 2 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 111 new cases has 9687 confirmed cases of which 8601 have recovered and 128 died while 958 are active cases. 

12 of Kalimpong: 

12 new cases from Kalimpong Town and Gorubathan reported, All are admitted at Triveni Covid Hospital. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 12 new cases has 1283 confirmed cases of which 1105 have recovered, 11 died and 167 are active cases. 

104 of Malda: 

104 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 103 new cases has 8494 confirmed cases of which 7492 have recovered and 69 died and 933 are active cases.

59 of Alipurduar:

59 new cases, 71 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 46 new cases has 5849 confirmed cases of which 5244 have recovered and 72 died while 533 are active cases. 

116 of Coochbehar: 

116 new cases with 108 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 94 new cases has 7372 confirmed cases of which 6517 have recovered, 47 died and 808 are active cases. 

118 of Jalpaiguri:  Bindubasi Karji, 84 yr of Hospitalpara Jalpaiguri died, 118 new cases and 71 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 180 new cases has 7691 confirmed cases of which 764 died while 6695 have recovered and 920 are active cases. 

82 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 82 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today.

During the last 24 hours 15 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 9 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 1 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 63 Covid-19 patients are admitted, while during the last 24 hours 8 patients are newly admitted and 10 are released. 

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 2 of Singel TE, 1 each of Kurseong, Tungsung, Singlen TE, Darjeeling, Naya Bazar, Lower Mansing Sittong, Dhoteriah, and 1 of Sindebong Kalimpong, GTA area are admitted. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 46 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 11 patients are newly admitted and 16 released. 

1 each of Giddhepahar Kurseong, and Pudung Busty Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released. 25 patients are being treated in its Safe home.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 849 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 617 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1466.

There are 12 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 24 in GTA area and 9 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 49 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
