50 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs - 6 from Hills,56 of SMC,  5 in Darjeeling, 1 in Pulbazar, 6 in Matigara, 16 in Naxalbari, 6 in Phansidewa and 14 in Khoribari Of the rest in plains they are-; 51 in Coochbehar, 69 in Alipurduar, 92 in Jalpaiguri, 127 in Malda tested positive.

2 Death: 2 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district.

Haru Dutta, 60 yr old of Champasari Anchal died in Desun Covid Hospital.

Kalpana Bhattacharya, 55 yr old of Hemiltongunj of Alipurduar died in Nursing Home.

56 of SMC:

Rabindranath Ghose, North Bengal Development Minister tested positive and admitted in Neotia Getwell Hospital.

56 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation tested positive. (44 of Darjeeling and 12 of Jalpaiguri district) They are- 4 of Ward no. 35  ;  3 of Ward nos. 27, 29,  46 ;  2 of Ward nos.2, 5, 11, 20, 24, 25, 39  ;  1 each of Ward nos.6, 7, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 31, 40, 41, 42, 44 and Gate Bazar.

92 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 92 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 44 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 6 are from the hills and they are -5 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar. Of the rest in plains they are- 6 in Matigara, 16 in Naxalbari, 6 in Phansidewa and 14 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 81 new cases has 8360 confirmed cases of which 7502 have recovered and 113 died while 745 are active cases. 

Nil of Kalimpong: 
No new case from Kalimpong Municipality reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 10 new cases has 1041 confirmed cases of which 892 have recovered, 7 died and 142 are active cases. 

127 of Malda: 

127 new cases, 59 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 113 new cases has 7218 confirmed cases of which 6518 have recovered and 56 died and 644 are active cases.

69 of Alipurduar:

1 died, 69 new cases, 79 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 69 new cases has 4968 confirmed cases of which 4420 have recovered and 60 died while 488 are active cases. 

51 of Coochbehar: 

2 dead, 51 new cases with 63 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours  Coochbehar with 97 new cases has 6242 confirmed cases of which 5490 have recovered, 42 died and 710 are active cases. 

92 of Jalpaiguri: 

1 dead, 92 new cases with 49 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 92 new cases has 6461 confirmed cases of which 61 died while 5751 have recovered and 649 are active cases. 

50 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 50 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

12 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 5 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, no patient in Isolation ward -1  and 3 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward are admitted.

1 each of Batasia and Kumai are admitted. 1 of Riyang referred.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 4 of Mirik, 2 of Saureni Mirik, 1 each of Naya Bazar Kurseong,  Krishnanagar Mirik, Dr. Z. Hussain Rd, Saureni, Kurseong, RN Sinha Road Darjeeling, Mirik, Teesta Valley, Mahanadi, Kutchery Road, and 1 each of Tripai, Sadhudhara and Munsong of GTA area are admitted. 1 each of Ghayabari, Batasia released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 89 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 32 are in ICU and 12 patients are newly admitted and 4 released.

1 each of Margaret’s Hope Tea Estate Sukhipokhari, and Bagdhara Kalimpong and Lower Mencho-Sakyong Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released. 25 patients are being treated in its Safe home.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1059 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 632 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1691.

There are 19 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 33 in GTA area and 19 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 71 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
