2 death, 28 of Hills (10 of Kalimpong and 18 of Darjeeling), 40 of SMC infected

84 recovered from Covid-19,  Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 10 in Kalimpong, 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 5 in Pulbazar and 1 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 12 in Sukuna, 25 in Matigara, 31 in Naxalbari, 4 in Phansidewa and 3 in Khoribar, 47 in Alipurduar, 118 in Jalpaiguri, 76 in Coochbehar, 98 in Malda tested positive.

2 Death: 2 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. Nirmalendu Mukhopadhyay , 68 yr old of Hospitalpara Maynaguri and Sefali SInha, 59 yr old of Deshbandhupara Uttar DInajpur died in Desun Covid Hospital.

40 of SMC:

40 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (28 in Darjeeling and 12 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

 

121 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 121 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 28 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 18 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 5 in Pulbazar and 1 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 12 in Sukuna, 25 in Matigara, 31 in Naxalbari, 4 in Phansidewa and 3 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 104 new cases has 9576 confirmed cases of which 8592 have recovered and 128 died while 856 are active cases. 

10 of Kalimpong: 

10 new cases from Kalimpong reported, All are admitted at Triveni Covid Hospital. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 10 new cases has 1271 confirmed cases of which 1072 have recovered, 11 died and 188 are active cases. 

98 of Malda: 

2 death, 98 new cases and 27 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 98 new cases has 8391 confirmed cases of which 7373 have recovered and 67 died and 951 are active cases.

47 of Alipurduar:

47 new cases, 83 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 47 new cases has 5803 confirmed cases of which 5180 have recovered and 71 died while 552 are active cases. 

 

76 of Coochbehar: 

76 new cases with 91 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 74 new cases has 7278 confirmed cases of which 6501 have recovered, 47 died and 730 are active cases. 

118 of Jalpaiguri: 

2 death, 118 new cases and 15 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 118 new cases has 7511 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 6624 have recovered and 813 are active cases. 

84 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 84 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 18 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 9 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 4 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 57 Covid-19 patients are admitted, while during the last 24 hours 14 patients are newly admitted and 14 are released. 

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- Som TE, Gidha Chandra Busty, Singel TE, Kurseong, Tungsung, Lower Mansing Sittong, 2 each of Naya Bazar, Darjeeling, and 1 each of Sindebong, Pudung Busty, and Kalimpong, GTA area are admitted. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 53 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 5 patients are newly admitted and 3 released. 

1 each of Giddhepahar Kurseong, and 9th Mile, Pudung Busty and Butchery Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released. 25 patients are being treated in its Safe home.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 849 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 617 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1466.

There are 17 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 32 in GTA area and 16 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 5 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 70 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
