2 death (1 of hills), 87 in Darjeeling district, 16 in hills, 58 in SMC tests positive

55 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs –3 in Kalimpong, 4 in Darjeeling, 4 in Kurseong, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 3 in Mirik. Of the rest in plains they are- 9 in Sukuna, 16 in Matigara, 13 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 2 in Khoribari; 109 in Coochbehar, 81 in Alipurduar, 7 in Jalpaiguri, 91 in Malda tested positive.

2 Death: 2 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district.

Durlav kumar Pal, 72 yr old Baribhasa South Rampur, Alipurduar died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid Hospital,

Nar Bahadur Tamang, 86 yr old Mungpoo 40 dhura died in DESUN Covid Hospital.

58 of SMC:

Rabindranath Ghose, North Bengal Development Minister tested positive and admitted in Neotia Getwell Hospital.

58 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation tested positive. (32 of Darjeeling and 26 of Jalpaiguri district) They are- 3 of Ward no. 46;  2 of Ward nos.2, 32;  1 of Ward nos.13, 20, 24, 35, 38, 42, 43 and Ananamohan Sarani, Ashrampara, Pradhan Nagar, Circuit House, 80 Ghar, Bhaktinagar, Bharat nagar, Chanpara, Vivekanandapalli, Hyderpara, Hakimpara, jalpaimore, Khalpara.

87 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 87 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 32 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 13 are from the hills and they are -4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 4 in Kurseong Municipality (Buddha Gram, Butcher Busty), 2 in Sukhiapokhari (Munda hatta), 3 in Mirik. Of the rest in plains they are- 9 in Sukuna (Military station), 16 in Matigara, 13 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 2 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 95 new cases has 8279 confirmed cases of which 7432 have recovered and 113 died while 734 are active cases. 

3 in Kalimpong: 

3 new cases from Kalimpong Municipality reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 12 new cases has 1031 confirmed cases of which 871 have recovered, 7 died and 153 are active cases. 

91 of Malda: 

91 new cases, 28 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 91 new cases has 7105 confirmed cases of which 6459 have recovered and 56 died and 590 are active cases.

81 of Alipurduar:

2 died, 81 new cases, 57 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 39 new cases has 4899 confirmed cases of which 4341 have recovered and 58 died while 500 are active cases. 

109 of Coochbehar: 

109 new cases with 73 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours  Coochbehar with 98 new cases has 6145 confirmed cases of which 5402 have recovered, 40 died and 703 are active cases. 

7 of Jalpaiguri:  
7 new cases with 49 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 87 new cases has 6369 confirmed cases of which 61 died while 5710 have recovered and 598 are active cases. 

55 Discharged:
After testing negative and recovery 55 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

12 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 7 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 1 patient in Isolation ward -1  and no patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward are admitted.

1 each of Riyang,   and Kumai are admitted. 1 each patients of Sukhiapokhari and Chhota Suruk Kalimpongare referred.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 
At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 4 of Mirik, 2 of Saureni Mirik, 1 each of Naya Bazar Kurseong,  Krishnanagar Mirik, Dr. Z. Hussain Rd, Ghayabari, Batasia, Kurseong, RN Sinha Road Darjeeling, Teesta Valley, Mahanadi, Kutchery Road, and 1 each of Tripai, Sadhudhara of GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital
In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 79 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 32 are in ICU and 12 patients are newly admitted and 16 released.

1 each of Margrets Hope Tea Estate Sukhipokhari, and Bagdhara Kalimpong and Lower Mencho -Sakyong Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home
55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released. 25 patients are being treated in its Safe home.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1059 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 637 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1696.

There are 23 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 33 in GTA area and 15 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 71 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
