88 recovered from Covid-19,  Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs –20 in Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 Sukhiapokhari, 1 Pulbazar, and 1 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 8 in Sukuna,  32 in Matigara, 14 in Naxalbari, 5 in Phansidewa and 1 in Khoribari, tested positive, 54 in Alipurduar, 16 in Jalpaiguri, 94 in Coochbehar, 73 in Malda tested positive.

1 Death: 

1 death reported (85 yr old of MV Road Kurseong in Dr. Chhang's Covid Hospital) during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district.

           

78 of SMC:

78 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (58 in Darjeeling and 20 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

 

128 of Darjeeling district:

A 85 yr old of MV Road Kurseong in Dr. Chhang's Covid Hospital died. 

Of the 128 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 58 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 10 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 Sukhiapokhari, 1 Pulbazar, and 1 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 8 in Sukuna,  32 in Matigara, 14 in Naxalbari, 5 in Phansidewa and 1 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 134 new cases has 10712 confirmed cases of which 9201 have recovered and 135 died while 1376 are active cases. 

20 of Kalimpong: 

20 new cases from Kalimpong reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 20 new cases has 1378 confirmed cases of which 1223 have recovered, 12 died and 143 are active cases. 

73 of Malda: 

73 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 89 new cases has 9160 confirmed cases of which 8064 have recovered and 77 died and 1019 are active cases.

54 of Alipurduar:

54 new cases, 78 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 46 new cases has 6234 confirmed cases of which 5673 have recovered and 74 died while 487 are active cases.  

94 of Coochbehar: 

94 new cases with 107 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 98 new cases has 7938 confirmed cases of which 7005 have recovered, 51 died and 882 are active cases. Coochbehar with 84 new cases has 8022 confirmed cases of which 7024 have recovered, 51 died and 947 are active cases. 

 

16 of Jalpaiguri: 

16 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 111 new cases has 8378 confirmed cases of which 83 died while 7167 have recovered and 1128 are active cases. Jalpaiguri with 93 new cases has 8471 confirmed cases of which 85 died while 7192 have recovered and 1195 are active cases.

 

88 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 88 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 17 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 6 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 8 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 3 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Rangli Rangliot under GTA admitted during the last 24 hrs.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 74 Covid-19 patients are admitted of them 11 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours patients are newly admitted and 10 are released and 4 are referred.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Rajbari, Lower Dumaram, Upper Dumaram, Holy Cross, Gandhigram Kurseong , , New Rajeswari Hall, Sudhapa Toll, , Ambotia,  Upper Sirubari, Bhotay Busty Darjeeling and 1 of Sindebong Kalimpong, LowerSindebong, Sinji, Mangmaya, Dr. Grahm’s Homes and Kalimpong, GTA area are admitted.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 53 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 9 patients are newly admitted and 11 released.

1 each MV Road Kurseong, Pankhabari , Rangli Rangliot, Victoria Road Darjeeling, Mungpoo Bazar and D M Office Kalimpong, D.S Gurung Road Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 654 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 614 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1270.

There are 25 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 32 in GTA area and 30 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 87 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
