Fresh positive cases – 10 in hills, 32 in SMC during last 24 hrs.  –2 in Kalimpong, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Pulbazar, 4 of Mirik, 5 in Sukuna, 21 in Matigara, 14 in Naxalbari, 3 Phansidewa and 1 in Khoribari,  107 in Coochbehar, 96 in Alipurduar, 32 in Jalpaiguri, 42 in Malda tested positive.

3 Death:

Jay Prakash Gupta 44 yr old of Ongden Road, Kalimpong died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid Hospital

Punya Prasad Rai, 91 yr old of Kalimpong died in NBMCH

Ashim Bhowmick, 73 yr old of Oodlabari died in a private Nursing home.

32 of SMC:

32 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (21 in Darjeeling and 11 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. The infected are- 2 of Ward no. 35, 41; 1 of Ward no .17, 22, 24, 27, 37, 39, 43, 46, 47 and others.

69 of Darjeeling   district:

Of the 69 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 21 are from SMC area. The rest are 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 2 in Pulbazar, 4 of Mirik, 5 in Sukuna, 21 in Matigara, 14 in Naxalbari, 3 in Phansidewa and 1 in Khoribari tested positive. Darjeeling district has 7221 confirmed cases of which 6338 have recovered and 100 died while 783 are active cases. 

2 death and 2 infected in Kalimpong: Jay Prakash Gupta 44 yr old of Ongden Road, Kalimpong died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid Hospital, Punya Prasad Rai, 91 yr old of Kalimpong died in NBMCH. 2 new cases reported.

Including today’s 2 death, the number of death due to Covid-19 is 9 in Kalimpong district while state Health department bulletin confirms only 5 numbers of Covid-19 death. The bulletin states 823 confirmed cases of which 666- have recovered, 5 died and 152 are active cases in Kalimpong district. 

42 of Malda: 42 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 6331 confirmed cases of which 5673 have recovered and 53 died and 605 are active cases.

96 of Alipurduar:  96 new cases including Mohan Sharma TMC union leader, 86 release reported. Alipurduar has 4098 confirmed cases of which 3375 have recovered and 40 died while 683 are active cases. 

107 of Coochbehar:  107 new cases with 96 release reported. Coochbehar has 5070 confirmed cases of which 4404 have recovered, 32 died and 634 are active cases. 

32 of Jalpaiguri:  32 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 5501 confirmed cases of which 49 died while 4804 have recovered and 648 are active cases. 

92 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 92 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

7 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There is 1 patient in Surgical isolation ward, 2 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and 4 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 1 died. 2 of 10^th Mile Kalimpong admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 80 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 3 are newly admitted and 5 released.

3 of Meadow Bank Darjeeling,and 1 each of Dowhill, Barun Busty, Sonada,  Naya Busty, Tindharia, Garidhura, Lohagudi,  Kurseong, and 1 each of, Rockvale,  Chandraloke, Kalimpong and Jaldhaka of GTA area are admitted. 6 are released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 46 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 15 are in ICU and 8 patients are newly admitted and 26 released.

2 of Darjeeling Municipality, 1 each of Sukhiapokhari, MG Road Darjeeling, Tungsung Road Darjeeling and Ahalay of Gorubathan are admitted.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

52 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 36 are Covid patients. 5 released. Mohan Sharma union leader of Alipurduar is being admitted.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1129 in home quaramtine - in Kalimpong district 653 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1756.

There are 20 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 44 in GTA area and 66 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 5 in 1 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 135 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
