48 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases – 17 in hills, 40 in SMC during last 24 hrs,  5 in Kalimpong, 2 in Darjeeling, 3 in Kurseong, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 3 in Pulbazar, 3 of Mirik, 3 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 13 in Naxalbari, 3 in Phansidewa and 4 in Khoribari, 95 in Coochbehar, 96 in Alipurduar, 30 in Jalpaiguri, 56 in Malda tested positive.

2 Death:

2 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in different dedicated Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. Dilip Tamang, 52 yr old of Sukhiapokhari died in Desun Covid Hospital,  

Sima Choudhury, 65 yr old of Alipurduar died in Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

40 of SMC:

40 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (27 in Darjeeling and 13 in Jalpaiguri districts) including Priyanka Singla Chief Executive Officer of Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority tested positive.

79 of Darjeeling   district:

Of the 79 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 27 are from SMC area. Of the rest 52 of the district 12 are from the hills and they are -2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 3 in Kurseong, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 3 in Pulbazar, 3 of Mirik. Of the plains they are- 3 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 13 in Naxalbari (11 of Bengdubi camp), 3 in Phansidewa and 4 in Khoribari tested positive. Darjeeling district has 7310 confirmed cases of which 6411 have recovered and 101 died while 798 are active cases.  

5 infected in Kalimpong: 

5 new cases reported. Kalimpong district has 839 confirmed cases of which 677- have recovered, 7 died and 155 are active cases. 

56 of Malda: 

56 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 6387 confirmed cases of which 5753 have recovered and 54 died and 580 are active cases.

96 of Alipurduar:  

1 died, 96 new cases, 86 release reported. Alipurduar has 4961 confirmed cases of which 3461 have recovered and 44 died while 664 are active cases. 

95 of Coochbehar:  

95 new cases with 84 release reported. Coochbehar has 5070 confirmed cases of which 4404 have recovered, 32 died and 634 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 5157 confirmed cases of which 4453 have recovered, 32 died and 672 are active cases. 

30 of Jalpaiguri:  

30 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 5501 confirmed cases of which 49 died while 4804 have recovered and 648 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 5570 confirmed cases of which 53died while 4876 have recovered and 641 are active cases. 

48 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 48 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

4 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 2 patients in Surgical isolation ward, 1 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and 1 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 2 of 10th Mile Kalimpong are referred.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 80 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 3 are newly admitted, 1 died and 5 released.

3 of Meadow Bank Darjeeling and 1 each of Dowhill, Barun Busty, Sonada,  Naya Busty, Tindharia, Garidhura, Lohagudi,  Kurseong, and 1 each of, Rockvale,  Chandraloke, Sadhudhara, Kalimpong and Jaldhaka of GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 44 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 15 are in ICU and 8 patients are newly admitted and 6 released.

2 of Tungsung Road Darjeeling, 1 each of Sukhiapokhari, MG Road Darjeeling, Dr. KB Abdul Aziz Road , Lamahatta Busty and 1 of Kalimpong Bazar of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

54 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 8 patients are released.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1129 in home quaramtine - in Kalimpong district 632 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1761.

There are 23 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 35 in GTA area and 28 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 5 in 1 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 91 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 7310 confirmed cases of which 6411 have recovered and 101 died while 798 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 839 confirmed cases of which 677- have recovered, 7 died and 155 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 4961 confirmed cases of which 3461 have recovered and 44 died while 664 are active cases.
