2 die, 14 in hills, 39 in SMC tests positive

84 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 19 in hills, 39 in SMC,  3 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling, 7 in Kurseong, 3 of Mirik, 1 in Sukuna, 8 in Matigara, 3 in Naxalbari, 1 in Phansidewa and 4 in Khoribari, 94 in Coochbehar, 48 in Alipurduar, 58 in Jalpaiguri, 56 in Malda tested positive.

2 Death:

2 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in different dedicated Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. 

Biswajit Das, 41 yr old of Kalaramjote Phansidewa died in NBMCH and had been suffering from septicemia since 18 September in surgical isolation.

A 65 yr old of Bheludabri, Alipurduar died of lung infection in a nursing home. He was administered 2 unit of plasma but could not survive.

39 of SMC:

39 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (27 in Darjeeling and 11 in Jalpaiguri districts) 5 of Ward no.22; 4 of Ward no. 11; 3 of Ward no. 23; 2 of Ward nos.1, 20; 1 each of Ward nos.3, 6, 15, 17, 21, 29, 33, 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, 43, 45, 46 tested positive.

51 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 51 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 27 are from SMC area. Of the rest 24 of the district 11 are from the hills and they are -1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 7 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 of Mirik, Of the plains they are- 1 in Sukuna, 8 in Matigara, 3 in Naxalbari, 1 in Phansidewa and 4 in Khoribari tested positive. 

Darjeeling district has 7627 confirmed cases of which 6824 have recovered and 105 died while 698 are active cases. 

3 infected in Kalimpong: 

3 new cases reported, Kalimpong district has 914 confirmed cases of which 758 have recovered, 7 died and 149 are active cases.

56 of Malda: 

56 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 6597 confirmed cases of which 6105 have recovered and 56 died and 436 are active cases..

48 of Alipurduar:  

48 new cases, 95 released reported. Alipurduar has 4429 confirmed cases of which 3843 have recovered and 47 died while 539 are active cases. 

94 of Coochbehar:  

94 new cases with 86 release reported. Coochbehar has 5505 confirmed cases of which 4782 have recovered, 35 died and 688 are active cases. 

58 of Jalpaiguri:  

Shyamal Biswas, 58 yrs of Kranti  (TMC leader) died, 58 new cases, reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 5824 confirmed cases of which 56 died while 5215 have recovered and 553 are active cases. 

84 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 84 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

6 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 4 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 2 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward and no patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward are admitted. 1 of Naya Busty Kurseong and 1 of Chhota Suruk admitted, 1 of Naya Bazar Kurseong, 2 of Lower Bhalukhop Khasmahal and Samsing referred. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 47 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 12 are in ICU and 8 patients are newly admitted and 12 released.

2 of Tungsung Road Darjeeling, 1 each of MG Road Darjeeling, Dr. KB Abdul Aziz Road, Lamahatta Busty, Nagari, Bhutia Busty, Ropeway and 1 of 8th Mile Kalimpong Bazar of GTA area are admitted.

Number of Covid patients in the six districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 7627 confirmed cases of which 6824 have recovered and 105 died while 698 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 914 confirmed cases of which 758 have recovered, 7 died and 149 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 4429 confirmed cases of which 3843 have recovered and 47 died while 539 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 5824 confirmed cases of which 56 died while 5215 have recovered and 553 are active cases.
