2 death 68 recovered- 14 in hills, 59 in SMC, 6 doctors appointed in Tribeni Hospital

Fresh positive cases - 14 in hills, 59 in SMC during last 24 hrs.  –3 in Kalimpong, 4 in Darjeeling, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 3 in Pulbazar, 2 in Mirik, 8 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 8 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 1 in Khoribari, 126 in Coochbehar, 42 in Alipurduar, 27 in Jalpaiguri, 59 in Malda tested positive.

2 Death:

Tara Sunuwar 64 yr old of Rungbul, Jorebunglow died in NBMCH.

Tuli Das, 45 yr old of Jaynagar of Bhaktinagar died in Desun Covid Hospital.

59 of SMC:

59 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (47 of Darjeeling and 12 from Jalpaiguri district). The infected are 11 of Ward no.26; 5 of Ward no.3; 4 of Ward no.37; 3 of Ward nos. 4, 10, 41, 46; 2 of Ward nos. 6, 14, 17, 27, 39, 45, Nivedita Road; 1 of Ward nos. 5, 16, 18, 23, 25, 43, BH Road, ISKON Road, Green Valley.

92 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 92 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 47 are from Darjeeling district of SMC while 45 cases are reported from different areas of the district during the last 24 hrs. They are 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Sukhiapokhari, 3 in Pulbazar, 2 in Mirik, 8 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 8 in Naxalbari, 4 in Phansidewa and 1 in Khoribari tested positive. 

Darjeeling district has 6909 confirmed cases of which 5972 have recovered and 95 died while 842 are active cases. 

Similarly 

3 in Kalimpong: 3 new cases reported. Kalimpong district has 751 confirmed cases of which 602- have recovered, 4 died and 145 are active cases. 

6 doctors appointed in CCU of Tribeni Hospital, 4 for CCU, 2 for general wards of the hospital.

83 of Malda: 83 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 6112 confirmed cases of which 5451 have recovered and 52 died and 609 are active cases.

42 of Alipurduar:  Abbas Ansari, 63 yr of Kalchini died. 42 new cases reported. Alipurduar has 3820 confirmed cases of which 3146 have recovered and 36 died while 638 are active cases. 

126 of Coochbehar:  126 new cases with 90 release reported. Coochbehar has 4788 confirmed cases of which 4148 have recovered, 29 died and 611 are active cases. 

27 of Jalpaiguri: 27 new cases (including a doctor and a nurse) reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 5233 confirmed cases of which 43 died while 4536 have recovered and 654 are active cases. 

68 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 68 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

13 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in Surgical isolation ward, 3 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and 7 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

1 of Pedong Kalimpong is admitted.  

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 77 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 3 is newly admitted and 10 released.

2 of Giddepahar Kurseong and 1 each of Ghoom, Ropeway, Sonada, Tindharia, Dowhill, Meadow Bank Darjeeling,  Barun Busty, Naya Busty, Kurseong, Sonada and 1 each of Ongden Road, Rockvale,  and Jaldhaka of GTA area are admitted. 2 are released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 65 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 15 are in ICU and 3 patients are newly admitted and 13 released.

1 each of Mahendra Gaon Mirik, Sukhiapokhari, Sonada and Ahalay of Gorubathan are admitted. 2 are released.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

54 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 36 are Covid patients. 7 released.

2 of GTA (Lodhoma and Takdah) admitted.

The number of people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1103 in home quaramtine - in Kalimpong district 632 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1735.

There are 20 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 44 in GTA area and 66 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 5 in 1 Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 135 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
