WB records 60 death, 3035 new cases, 110358 confirmed cases, 26850 active cases, 2572 recovery, recovery rate increased to 73.57%.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours is 73.57 percent, but death records highest spike of 60.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing, it has recorded 3035 new cases (1 day before-2997, 2 days before- 2936) as well as 60 death (1 day before-56, 2 days before- 54) during the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2572 (1 day before-2497, 2 days before- 2725) and 110358 confirmed cases (1 day before-107323, 2 days before- 104326) while active cases is 26850 (1 day before-26447, 2 days before-26003). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 2319 (1 day before-2259, 2 days before-2203). After recovery of the infection 81189 (1 day before-78617, days before- 76120) Covid patients are released from all the Covid hospitals of the state.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 65, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 31317 (1 day before-30032, 2 days before-27712) samples were tested that tally 124872 (1 day before-1216955, 2 days before- 1186923) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 34037 persons (1 day before-32987, 2 days before- 28838) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 440247 persons (1 day before-404788, 2 days before- 402173) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 406210 (1 day-437775, 2 days before- 431011).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2696 persons (1 day before- 2715, 2 days before- 2703) and so far from these centres 106642 persons (1 day before-106610, 2 days before- 106519) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 84 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 29 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
