2 death: 

79 yrs of Islampur, 72 yrs of Kaliagunj died in Nivedita nursing home -Covid hospital.

No death from Darjeeling district.

20 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 20 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (11 of Darjeeling and 9 of Jalpaiguri) tested positive. 

They are 3 of Ward no.46; 2 of Ward nos. 31, 1 each of Ward nos. 2, 16.

109 of Darjeeling district

Of the 109 positive cases of Darjeeling district, 20 are from SMC while 89 cases are reported from different areas of the district during the last 24 hrs. They are, 11 in Darjeeling Municipality (4 of Rockwood, 1 each of Jawahar Busty and Kagjhora, ), 1 in Kurseong sub-division (of Dudhia),1 in Takdah, 5 in Sukuna, 37 in Naxalbari (18 of Bengdubi, 5 of Bagdogra Airport and others), 15 in Matigara (including a nursing student), 4 in Phansidewa, and 10 in Khoribari tested positive. 

Darjeeling district has 3838 confirmed cases of which 3026 have recovered and 55 died while 757 are active cases. 

 

1 of Kalimpong district: 1 positive case is reported from Kalimpong.

There are 314 confirmed cases of which 145 have recovered, 1 died and 168 are active cases. 

 

124 of Malda:  4 died, 124 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 3726 confirmed cases of which 3069 have recovered and 21 died and 888 are active cases.

 

10 of Alipurduar:  10 new cases reported. In the district there are 771 confirmed cases of which 640 have recovered and 6 died while 333 are active cases. 

 

43 of Coochbehar:  43 new cases of Covid 19 infection with 43 recovery is reported today. The complete report of the district is, 1637 confirmed cases of which 1363 have recovered, 1 died and 274 are active cases.

97 of Jalpaiguri:  97 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 2271 confirmed cases of which 22 died while 1722 have recovered and 527 are active cases. 

 

38 Discharged: 

After testing negative and recovery, from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, 17 of Desun Covid hospital, and other Safe homes and home isolation 38 were discharged today.

21 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 4 in Surgical Isolation, 4 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 13 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 100 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 14 are newly admitted while 3 are released. 

8 of Kurseong and 1 of Jorebunglow admitted.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 46 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 14 are in ICU and 4 patients are newly admitted and 17 released. 1 of Kurseong died here nut tested negative.1 from Dr Zakir Hussain Road Darjeeling is admitted in this hospital. 

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

49 patients of which 11 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 35 are Covid patients.2 died.

A 79 yrs of Islampur and another 72 yrs of Kaliagunj of Uttar Dinajpur died in this hospital.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1104 and in Kalimpong district is 672, the tally of GTA area stands to 1776. 

There are 12 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospitals outside GTA area, 61 in GTA area and 86 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, the tally being 157 as active cases.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 3838 confirmed cases of which 3026 have recovered and 55 died while 757 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 350 confirmed cases of which 204 have recovered, 1 died and 145 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 1137 confirmed cases of which 805 have recovered and 6 died while 326 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 2431 confirmed cases of which 24 died while 1839 have recovered and 568 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 1881 confirmed cases of which 1402 have recovered, 2 died and 477 are active cases. 

Malda has 4102 confirmed cases of which 3271 have recovered and 25 died and 806 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1850 confirmed cases of which 1374 have recovered and 15 died and 461 are active cases.
