53 death, 3169 new cases, 125922 confirmed cases, 27678 active cases, 2973 recovery, recovery rate increased to 75.97%.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 19 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours is 75.97 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing, it has recorded 3169 new cases (1 day before-3175, 2 days before- 3080) as well as 53 death (1 day before-55, 2 days before- 45) during the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2973 (1 day before-2987, 2 days before- 2932) and 125922 confirmed cases (1 day before-122753, 2 days before- 119578) while active cases is  27678 (1 day before-27535, 2 days before-27402). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 2581 (1 day before-2528, 2 days before-2473). After recovery of the infection 95663 (1 day before-92690, days before- 89703) Covid patients are released from all the Covid hospitals of the state.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 69, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 34358 (1 day before-35107, 2 days before-32319) samples were tested that tally 1416556 (1 day before-1382198, 2 days before- 1347091) till now since day 1.  

In the last 24 hours, 44591 persons (1 day before-43927, 2 days before- 41937) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 466330 persons (1 day before-462366, 2 days before- 457231) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 421739 (1 day-418439, 2 days before- 415294).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2628 persons (1 day before-2639, 2 days before- 2665) and so far from these centres 106882 persons (1 day before-106848, 2 days before- 106807) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 85 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 30 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
