Record spike of 56 death, 2997 new cases, 107323 confirmed cases, 26447 active cases, 2497 recovery, recovery rate increased to 73.25%.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours is 73.25 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has recorded 2997 new cases (1 day before-2936, 2 days before- 2931) as well as 56 death (1 day before-54, 2 days before- 49) during the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2497 (1 day before-2725, 2 days before- 3067) and 107323 confirmed cases (1 day before-104326, 2 days before- 101390) while active cases is 26447 (1 day before-26003, 2 days before-25846). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 2259 (1 day before-2203, 2 days before-2149). After recovery of the infection 78617 (1 day before-76120, days before- 73395) Covid patients are released from all the Covid hospitals of the state.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 62, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 30032 (1 day before-27712, 2 days before-27015) samples were tested that tally 1216955 (1 day before-1186923, 2 days before- 1159211) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 32987 persons (1 day before-28838, 2 days before- 27927) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 404788 persons (1 day before-402173, 2 days before- 429216) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 437775 (1 day-431011, 2 days before- 401289).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2715 persons (1 day before-2703, 2 days before- 2720) and so far from these centres 106610 persons (1 day before-106519, 2 days before- 106364) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 83 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 28 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
