District report- Recovery- 62, Death – 1, Positive case- 2 of Kalimpong, 11 of Kurseong, 1 of Mirik, 44 of SMC, 19 of Naxalbari, 4 of Matigara, 125 of Malda, 7 of Alipurduar, 47 of Jalpaiguri, 33 of Coochbehar tested positive

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 13 August 2020:

1 dies of Covid  : Biswajit Adhikari, 43 yr old of Gosainpur, Bagdogra died in DESUN Covid hospital. Other 5 Covid patients also died but they tested negative before their death. 

44 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 44 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation – 24 under the district of Darjeeling and 20 under Jalpaiguri tested positive. 

 

56 of Darjeeling district:   56 of the district in different areas such as- 3 of Kurseong, 8 of Kurseong Municipality, 1 of Mirik, 4 of Matigara, 19 of Naxalbari, 2 of Phansidewa and 4 of Khoribari.

There are 3150 Confirmed cases, 2411 have recovered and 40 died and 699 are active cases.

 

2 of Kalimpong district: 2 new cases is reported today and they are from 8^th mile and Malli.

There are 225 Confirmed cases, 106 have recovered and 2 died and 86 are active cases

 

125 of Malda:  1 died, 125 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 3306 Confirmed cases, 2521 have recovered and 21 died and 749 are active cases. 

 

7 of Alipurduar:  7 new cases reported. In the district there are 710 Confirmed cases, 371 recovered, 4 died and 333 active cases. 

 

33 of Coochbehar:  33 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 1292 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 1006 recovery and 286 active cases 

 

47 of Jalpaiguri: 47 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 1830 confirmed cases of which 1373 have recovered, 14 died and 443 active cases.  

 

62 Discharged: 

After testing negative twice and recovery, patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital and Desun Covid hospital, and Tribeni Covid H, Safe homes and home isolation were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

11 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 6 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 5 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 55 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 10 are newly admitted while 12 are released. 

5 of Kurseong are admitted.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 63 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 8 patients are newly admitted and 3 are released.

1 each from Bagora Kurseong, Dr Zakir Hussain Road Darjeeling, Dudhia and Ghoom are admitted in this hospital. 2 of Kurseong are released.

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

51 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 35 are Covid patients.

4 are released.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1111 and in Kalimpong district is 685, the tally of GTA area stands to 1796. 

Altogether there are 8 persons in 1 institutional facility quarantines.

There are 9 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospitals outside GTA area, 62 in GTA area and 76 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, the tally being 147 as active cases.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 3337 confirmed cases of which 2490 have recovered and 42 died while 805 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 245 confirmed cases of which 107 have recovered, 1 died and 137 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 886 confirmed cases of which 513 have recovered and 6 died while 367 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1984 confirmed cases of which 18 died while 1521 have recovered and 445 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 1548 confirmed cases of which 1062 have recovered, 0 died and  486 are active cases. 

Malda has 3585 confirmed cases of which 2726 have recovered and 18 died and 841 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1485 confirmed cases of which 1199 have recovered and 14 died and 272 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1985 confirmed cases of which 1568 have recovered and 16 died and 401 are active cases.
