Record spike of 52 death, 2912 new cases, 89666 confirmed cases, 24652 active cases, 2037 recovery, recovery rate increased to 70.33%.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 7 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours it is 70.33 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has 2912 new cases (1 day before-2954, 2 days before- 2816) as well as 52 death (1 day before-56, 2 days before- 61) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2037 (1 day before-2061, 2 days before- 2078) and confirmed cases is 89666 (1 day before-86754, 2 days before- 83800) while active cases is (1 day before-23829, 2 days before-22992). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 1954 (1 day before-1902, 2 days before-1846). After recovery of the infection 63060 (1 day before-61023, days before- 58962) Covid patients are released from the hospital.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 59, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 25258 (1 day before- 25224, 2 days before-24047) samples were tested that tally 1054509 (1 day before-1028251, 2 days before- 1003027) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 28131 persons (1 day before-29340, 2 days before- 30201) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 421422 persons (1 day before-420732, 2 days before- 419714) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 393291 (1 day-391392, 2 days before- 389513).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2829 persons (1 day before-2918, 2 days before- 2875) and so far from these centres 106097 persons (1 day before-106083, 2 days before- 105917) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 83 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 28 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.

Revised dates of Lockdown in the state- August 5, 8, 20, 21, 27, 28 and 31.
