4 dies of Covid : 1 Damber Singh Ghalay, 70 yr old patient of Lodhoma, Darjeeling died at Tribeni Covid hospital. Its 2nd death in this hospital. Kamakhya Ghose, 77 yr old patient of Babupara, Naxalbari, Dilip kr Lala 81 yr old patient of Jalpaiguri died in Desun hospital. and a 78 yr old patient of Ward no. 33 Siliguri died.

35 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 35 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation – 22 under the district of Darjeeling and 13 under Jalpaiguri tested positive.

7 of Ward No.2 (6 staff of NBSTC); 4 of Ward Nos.31, 35; 3 of Ward No. 26; 2 of Ward Nos.20, 47; 1 of Ward Nos 4, 7, 13, 22, 25, 40, 41, 42 tested positive.

32 of Darjeeling district: 32 of the district in different areas other than SMC area tested positive. 5 of Darjeeling Municipality, one each of Pulbazar, Kurseong (Dilkhusa), Phansidewa, 7 of Sukna Staff of Bagdogra Airforce) , 8 of Naxalbari and 6 of Matigara, 3 Khoribari, 1 of Rail hospital.  

There are 3150 Confirmed cases, 2411 have recovered and 40 died and 699 are active cases.

13 Others: 1 of Nagarkatta, Dhupguri, Alipurduar, Coochbehar, 3 of Jalpaiguri, 2 of North Dinajpur, 4 of Bihar.

14 of Kalimpong district: 14 new cases is reported today of which 13 are from Gairibas of Jaldhaka under Gorubathan block of Kalimpong while one is a police personnel of Kalimpong police. It is noteworthy to mention that recently 6 cases have been reported from an area of Gairibas and death of mother of a positive patient on 9th August has been a matter of confusion as the swab test of the 70+ old woman was done after her death and the result is awaited. There was panic among the people as such the health department has camped there for taking swab tests. Swab samples of about 270 persons are sent to VRDL at NBMCH. Today a Rapid test drive was made and 63 samples were tested of which 13 came out to be positive. The positive patients are sent to ITI Safe home at Upper Fagu Gorubathan for isolation and treatment.

There are 188 Confirmed cases, 101 have recovered and 2 died and 86 are active cases.

30 of Malda: 30 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 3287 Confirmed cases, 2521 have recovered and 21 died and 749 are active cases.

60 of Alipurduar: 60 new case reported. 5 in Falakatta, 20 in Kalchini, 5 police of Kamakhyaguri. In the district there are 665 Confirmed cases, 471 recovered, 4 died and 286 active cases.

31 of Coochbehar: 31 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 1292 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 1006 recovery and 286 active cases.

31 of Jalpaiguri: 1 of Guwalmari of Dhupguri died in SIliguri, 31 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. It includes 3 of Jalpaiguri, 2 of Nagarkatta, 9 Maynaguri, 5 of Mal including a nurse, 9 of Dhupguri. In the district there are 1830 confirmed cases of which 1373 have recovered, 14 died and 443 active cases.

50 Discharged:

After testing negative twice and recovery, 12 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, 12 of Desun Covid hospital, and from other Safe homes and home isolation were discharged today.

NBMCH 

14 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 2 patient in Isolation ward-I, 7 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) of which 6 tested positive, and 5 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted.

1 of Longview Kurseong admitted. 1 of Jholung released.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 68 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 15 are newly admitted while 12 are released.

DESUN Covid Hospital In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 56 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 11 patients are being treated in ICU. 13 are newly admitted and 12 are released and 1 dead.

2 of Kurseong, 1 each from Bagora Kurseong, Bloomfield and Ghoom are admitted in this hospital

NIVEDITA Nursing Home 48 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 34 are Covid patients.

2 died and 7 are released.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1012 and in Kalimpong district is 674, the tally of GTA area stands to 1686.

Altogether there are 35 persons in 3 institutional facility quarantines.

There are 21 Covid patients in 3 Covid hospitals and 42 more Covid patients in 4 Safe Homes of GTA. and 6 in 2 Safe Homes outside GTA the tally being 69 Covid patients.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 3150 confirmed cases of which 2411 have recovered and 40 died while 699 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district has 188 confirmed cases of which 101 have recovered, 1 died and 86 are active cases.

Alipurduar has 789 confirmed cases of which 471 have recovered and 4 died while 314 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri has 1889 confirmed cases of which 14 died while 1469 have recovered and 406 are active cases.

Coochbehar has 1451 confirmed cases of which 995 have recovered, 0 died and 456 are active cases.

Malda has 3387 confirmed cases of which 2521 have recovered and 17 died and 749 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1426 confirmed cases of which 1177 have recovered and 13 died and 236 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1900 confirmed cases of which 1373 have recovered and 16 died and 511 are active cases.
