District report- Recovery- 33, Death – 6; Detected Positive- 96 of Darjeeling ( 45 of SMC and 51 of others), 5 of Kalimpong, 1 of Darjeeling, Record 126 of Malda, 23 of Jalpaiguri, 32 of Alipurduar, 59 of Coochbehar, tested positive

6 died : 5 of Darjeeling district and 1 of Uttar Dinajpur died within 24 hrs.

6 Covid-19 patients admitted at different Covid hospitals and others located in Darjeeling district died within last 24 hrs. They are-

Bimala Devi Agarwal, 71 yrs of Ward no. 13, Udham Sing Sarani died in Desun Hospital;

Ramen Sarkar, 66 yrs old of Ward no. 35, Bhaktinagar died in District Hospital;

Samir Dutta, 65 yrs old of Ward no. 20, Subhaspalli died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid Hospital;

Chhabi Rai, 69 yrs old of Ward no.29, Deshbandhupara died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid Hospital;

Mahadev Sadhu, 79 yrs old of Ward no.42, Bhaktinagar died in Nivedita Nursing home;

Mamata Dutta, 60 yr old of Islampur died in RICU unit of NBMCH;

 

45 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: 39 Covid-19 positive patients of SMC area and 3 of NBSTC tested positive, within last 24 hrs and they are from different wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation located in Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts. They are -5 of Ward No.43; 4 of Ward No.25; 3 of Ward Nos. 2,11; 2 of Ward Nos. 2, 7, 9, 31, 32, 41; 1 of Ward Nos. 4, 5, 6, 8,19, 20, 23, 30, 36, 38, 40. 

52 of Darjeeling district: 1 of Darjeeling Municipality, 1 of Kurseong, 12 of Matigara (including 1 of BSF), 5 of Khoribari, 33 of Naxalbari (31 are of Bengdubi Army and SSB camp).

5 of Kalimpong:  1 of Malli Police  & 4 of Gorubathan ( 1 of Gairibas, 1 of BDO Office 1 of Upper Fagu and 1 of Bhuttabari) Kalimpong district tested  positive.

126 of Malda:  126 new cases reported today from Malda including a MLA and her husband. There are 2561 Confirmed cases, 1669 have recovered and 18 died and 841 are active cases. 

59 of Coochbehar:  59 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 983 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 649 recovery and 333 active cases 

32 of Alipurduar: 32 new cases reported in the districts that includes police personnels. In the district there are 450 Confirmed cases, 229 recovered, 14 died and  207 active cases.  

23 of Jalpaiguri:  23 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. 11 of Nagarkatta, 2 of Jalpaiguri, 3 of Maynaguri, 3 of Malbazar, 4 of Rajgunj,  In the district there are 1546 confirmed cases of which 1154 have recovered, 11 died and 381 active cases.

 

33 Discharged: 

After testing negative twice and recovery, 7 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, 21 from Desun Covid hospital, 5 from Nivedita nursing home were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

15 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

8 patients in Surgical Isolation ward, 3 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 4 in Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted 

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 82 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar. 3 died here.

3 of Kurseong are admitted. 

1 each of Jaldhaka and Subedar Busty-Kurseong and other 18 are released.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 66 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 11 patients are being treated in ICU. 15 are released.

1 each of Convent Road, Darjeeling, Sittong and Kurseong are admitted in this hospital.

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

49 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 35 are Covid patients.

5 are released.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 869 and in Kalimpong district is 560, the tally of GTA area stands to 1429. 

Altogether there are 47 persons in 3 institutional facility quarantines and 40 in 4 Safe Homes of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 2648 confirmed cases of which 1884 have recovered and 31 died while 733 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 111 confirmed cases of which 78 have recovered, 1 died and 32 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 530 confirmed cases of which 312 have recovered and 4 died while 214 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1583 confirmed cases of which 13 died while 1190 have recovered and 380 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 1057 confirmed cases of which 643 have recovered, 0 died and 414 are active cases. 

Malda has 2750 confirmed cases of which 2108 have recovered and 16 died and 626 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1257 confirmed cases of which 1037 have recovered and 11 died and 209 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1518 confirmed cases of which 1062 have recovered and 11 died and 445 are active cases.
