6 dies of Covid : Bina Rai, 68 yr old of Dhooteria T.E of
Sukhiapokhari, Shankar Majumdar, 56 yr old NJP Satellite township
and Nanda Dulal Sarkar, 59 yr old of Kadobari Sardarpara (SAP 10 Btn) Jalpaiguri
died in DESUN Covid hospital.
Jahar
Chand Kanu, 65 yr old of Jaigaon Alipurduar died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid SS
hospital.
Karunamay
Dutta, 78 yr old of Jivananda Das Sarani Ward no. 38 and Bijay Shankar Gupta, 75
yr old of Ganganagar Ward no. 5 died in Nivedita nursing home.
14 of
Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 14 of
Siliguri Municipality Corporation – 8 under the district of Darjeeling and 6
under Jalpaiguri tested positive.
2 of Ward Nos.35, 37, 47;
1 each of Ward Nos.6, 18, 19, 27, 31, 33, 39, 44 tested positive.
25 of Darjeeling district: 25 of the district in different areas 7 of
the Hills and 18 of the plains other than SMC area tested positive.
2 of Darjeeling Municipality (Dr
Zakir Hussain Road and Rockwood), 4 of Kurseong Municipality ( Subedar Busty,
Gandhigram, 2 of Lower Dumaram) and 1 of Dhooteriah TE -Sukhiapokhari and 11 of
Matigara, 2 of Sukna (Mahanadi Bazar and Sukuna), 4 of Naxalbari (3 are from
SSB camp of Ranidanga) and 1 of Rajgunj.
There
are 3150 Confirmed cases, 2411 have recovered and 40 died and 699 are active
cases.
19 of
Kalimpong district: 19 new cases is reported today of which 17 are from Gairibas of
Jaldhaka under Gorubathan block of Kalimpong while 2 are from Kalimpong Municipality
(one each from 8th mile and Murgihatta.
Yesterday 13
were reported from the same area of Gairibas while one is a police personnel of
. police. It is noteworthy to mention
that recently 6 cases have been reported from an area of Gairibas and death of
mother of a positive patient on 9th August has been a matter of
confusion as the swab test of the 70+ old woman was done after her death and
the result is awaited. There was panic among the people as such the health
department has camped and the result was to 13 positive cases.
Swab samples
of about 270 persons were sent to VRDL at NBMCH. On 9th 150 samples
were taken of which 17 tested positive at the same time of the 69 Rapid tests
done on 11 August 13 came out to be positive. On 10th August 120
swab samples were taken and the test result of them are awaited. Patients testing
positive are sent to ITI Safe home at Upper Fagu Gorubathan for isolation and
treatment.
There
are 223 Confirmed cases, 106 have recovered and 2 died and 86 are active cases

of Malda: 50 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 3287
Confirmed cases, 2521 have recovered and 21 died and 749 are active cases.

of Alipurduar: 38 new cases reported. In the district there
are 665 Confirmed cases, 471 recovered, 4 died and 286 active cases.

of Coochbehar: 23 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported
today. The complete report of the district is 1292 confirmed cases of which 2
are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 1006 recovery and 286
active cases

of Jalpaiguri: 1 dead, 59 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri
today. It includes 3 of Jalpaiguri, 2 of Nagarkatta, 9 Maynaguri, 5 of
Mal including a nurse, 9 of Dhupguri. In the district there are 1830 confirmed
cases of which 1373 have recovered, 14 died and 443 active cases.

After
testing negative twice and recovery, 19 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super
specialty hospital, 7 of Desun Covid hospital, and 4 are released Tribeni Covid
H, from other Safe homes and home isolation were discharged today.

suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal
Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).
There
are 1 patients in Isolation ward-I, 8 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit
(RICU) of which 6 tested positive, and 6 in Female -Gynecological Isolation
ward are admitted.

CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES
The
number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1115 and
in Kalimpong district is 697, the tally of GTA area stands to 1812.
Altogether
there are 33 persons in 2 institutional facility quarantines.
There
are 21 Covid patients in 3 Covid hospitals and 42 more Covid patients in 4 Safe
Homes of GTA. and 6 in 2 Safe Homes outside GTA the tally being 69 Covid
patients.

Today’s
daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 3232 confirmed cases
of which 2470 have recovered and 41 died while 721 are active cases.

Kalimpong district has 223 confirmed cases of which 106 have recovered, 1 died

has 853 confirmed cases of which 512 have recovered and 5 died while 336 are
active cases.

has 1948 confirmed cases of which 17 died while 1508 have recovered and 423 are
