Alarming spike of 56 death, 2954 new cases, 86754 confirmed cases, 23829 active cases, 2061 recovery, recovery rate increased to 70.34%.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours it is 70.34 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has 2954 new cases (1 day before-2816, 2 days before- 2752) as well as 56 death (1 day before-61, 2 days before- 54) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2061 (1 day before-2078, 2 days before- 2066) and confirmed cases is 86754 (1 day before-83800, 2 days before- 80984) while active cases is 23829 (1 day before-22992, 2 days before-22315). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 1902 (1 day before-1846, 2 days before-1785). After recovery of the infection 61023 (1 day before-58962, days before- 56884) Covid patients are released from the hospital.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 59, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 25224 (1 day before-,24047 2 days before-22321) samples were tested that tally 1028251 (1 day before-1003027, 2 days before- 978980) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 29340 persons (1 day before-30201, 2 days before- 31320) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 420732 persons (1 day before-419714, 2 days before- 418530) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 391392 (1 day-389513, 2 days before- 387210).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2918 persons (1 day before-2875, 2 days before- 2911) and so far from these centres 106083 persons (1 day before-105917, 2 days before- 105675) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 83 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 28 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
