1 death: 

55 year old of Atharokhaiya died at Dr. Chhang’s Covid hospital.

58 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 58 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (39 of Darjeeling and 19 of Jalpaiguri) tested positive.  They are 8 of Ward nos.46;  5  of Ward nos.37, 47;  4  of Ward no.27;  3  of Ward nos. 16, 17, 33, 35, 36;  2 of Ward nos.2, 5, 26;  1 each of Ward nos. 8, 23, 31, 42,43 tested positive. 

 

102 of Darjeeling district

In the district 102 cases were reported during the last 24 hrs. It is reported due to accumulation of three days test result the number of infection seems to be high. Of the 102 cases 58 were from Siliguri Municipal Corporation while 21 are from the hill areas of the Darjeeling district. They are 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Pulbazar, 3 in Kurseong sub-division (of Bagora Airforce station), 3 in Mirik,11 in Sukna (8 are army personnel),16 in Naxalbari, 22 in Matigara, 3 in Phansidewa, and 11 in Khoribari and 52 from other states and districts tested positive.

Darjeeling district has 3683 confirmed cases of which 2876 have recovered and 52 died while 755 are active cases. 

 

1 of Kalimpong district: 1 positive case is reported from Kalimpong.

There are 314 confirmed cases of which 145 have recovered, 1 died and 168 are active cases.

33 of Malda:  33 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 3978 confirmed cases of which 3069 have recovered and 21 died and 888 are active cases.

 

10 of Alipurduar:  10 new cases reported. In the district there are 979 confirmed cases of which 640 have recovered and 6 died while 333 are active cases. 

 

51 of Coochbehar:  51 new cases of Covid 19 infection with 35 recovery is reported today. The complete report of the district is, 1788 confirmed cases of which 1358 have recovered, 1 died and 429 are active cases.

63 of Jalpaiguri:  63 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 2271 confirmed cases of which 22 died while 1722 have recovered and 527 are active cases. 

 

38 Discharged: 

After testing negative and recovery, from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, Desun Covid hospital, and other Safe homes and home isolation 38 were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

17 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 1 in Surgical Isolation, 2 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 14 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 72 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 14 are newly admitted while 3 are released. 

9 of Kurseong admitted.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 57 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 10 patients are newly admitted.  

1 each from Dr Zakir Hussain Road Darjeeling, and Kurseong are admitted in this hospital. 

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

48 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1069 and in Kalimpong district is 683, the tally of GTA area stands to 1862. 

Altogether there are 8 persons in 1 institutional facility quarantine.

There are 12 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospitals outside GTA area, 61 in GTA area and 86 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, the tally being 157 as active cases.

 

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 3757 confirmed cases of which 2952 have recovered and 53 died while 752 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 333 confirmed cases of which 167 have recovered, 1 died and 165 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 1076 confirmed cases of which 743 have recovered and 6 died while 327 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 2334 confirmed cases of which 23 died while 1761 have recovered and 550 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 1818 confirmed cases of which 1396 have recovered, 1 died and 421 are active cases. 

Malda has 4032 confirmed cases of which 3130 have recovered and 23 died and 879 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1824 confirmed cases of which 1352 have recovered and 15 died and 457 are active cases. 

Dakshin Dinajpur has 2620 confirmed cases of which 1835 have recovered and 18 died and 767 are active cases.
