1 of Kalimpong dies - Recovery- 38, Death-4 ( 1 of Kalimpong), Positive cases- 80 of SMC, 104 of Darjeeling dist- 3 of Darjeeling Municipality, 1 of Mirik, 4 of Kurseong, 4 of Sukuna, 13 of Naxalbari, 34 of Matigara, and 2 of Khoribari; 116 of Malda, of Alipurduar, 87 of Jalpaiguri, 51 of Coochbehar tested positive.

4 death: 

Joseph Dahal, 52 year of 6 mile, Kalimpong died today in the evening at Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital. He tested positive and was admitted at Tribeni Hospital on 16 August and later referred to Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital and was under treatment for respiratory problems. This is the third death. First death was of Sunita devi Singh (44) of Kalimpong, died on 30^th March 2020 at NBMCH. Second death was of Umamati Devi (55) of Somabary Bazar Gorubathan  died on 13 July 2020 at NBMCH. Third death is of Joseph Dahal  (52).

Saidul Mia 27 year old of  Boro aathaaro kotha -Kotwali Coochbehar died at Desun hospital.

Sapan Ghose 52  year old of  died at Medicine SARI of NBMCH.

Jinnat Khatun 30 year old of  died at Medicine SARI of NBMCH.

 

80 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 80 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (46 of Darjeeling and 34 from Jalpaiguri district) tested positive . They are-  14 of Ward no. 2 (11 of NBSTC Siliguri depot); 9  of Ward no. 39;  8  of Ward no.49; 6 of Deshbandhupara; 4  of Ward no.46; 3  of Ward no. 35, 37, 46, Ghoghomali; 2 of Ward no. 4, 25, 27 ; 1 of Ward no 3, 12, 16, 29, 33, 35, 38,39, 40, 41,  43, 46 and others.  

 

104 of Darjeeling district

Of the 104 positive cases of Darjeeling district 46 are from Darjeeling district of SMC while 58 cases are reported from different areas of the district during the last 24 hrs. They are 3 in Darjeeling Municipality, 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Mirik, 4 in Sukuna, 19 in Naxalbari,  34 in Matigara, and 2  in Khoribari. Darjeeling district has 3838 confirmed cases of which 3026 have recovered and 55 died while 757 are active cases. 

3 of Kalimpong district: 1 died, 3 cases reported from Kalimpong. Yesterday 6 positive cases were reported.  They are 2 of Chalouni Forest Village and Bhujel gaon Samsing and 4 of Tarkhola.

There are 314 confirmed cases of which 145 have recovered, 1 died and 168 are active cases. 

 

116 of Malda:  2 died, 116 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 3726 confirmed cases of which 3835 have recovered and 21 died and 888 are active cases.

 

48 of Alipurduar:  48 new cases reported. In the district there are 771 confirmed cases of which 640 have recovered and 6 died while 333 are active cases. 

 

51 of Coochbehar:  51 new cases of Covid 19 infection with 47 recovery is reported today. The complete report of the district is, 1727 confirmed cases of which 1339 have recovered, 1 died and 288 are active cases.

87 of Jalpaiguri:  87 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 2271 confirmed cases of which 22 died while 1722 have recovered and 527 are active cases. 

 

38 Discharged: 

After testing negative and recovery 23 of Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital and 11 of Desun Covid hospital and 4 from Safe homes were discharged today.

18 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 1 patient in ID-1, 1 in Surgical Isolation, no patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 16 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

1 of Kurseong admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 79 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 26 are newly admitted while 23 are released. 

8 of Kurseong and 1 of Jorebunglow admitted.

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 50 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 23 are in ICU and 10 patients are newly admitted and 11 released.

49 patients of which 10 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 35 are Covid patients.5 released.

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1008 and in Kalimpong district is 709, the tally of GTA area stands to 1717.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 4242 confirmed cases of which 3240 have recovered and 56 died while 845 are active cases.
