6 died of Covid in Darjeeling district including 1 in Kurseong

JB Moktan, 85 yr of Deorali -Chimny Busty Kurseong died was in Home Isolation since 25 July. Yesterday, he received his positive report of the swab test and died today morning at home, He had visited Salbari on 7 July.

Sandhya Gupta, 60 yr of SF Road Khalpara and Satyajit Ghose, 38 yr of New Rangia of Matigara died today in Desun Hospital

Ratan Shah, 60 yr of Ward No 15 died in Anandaloke nursing home while a 55 yr old patient of Rajubhita of Islampur and another 58 yr old of Khoribari died in RICU ward of NBMCH.

59 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation infected

Of the 59 persons of SMC testing positive, they are- 13 of Ward No.35; 7 of Ward No.41; 5 of Ward No.47; 3 of Ward Nos. 2, 9, 16; 2 of Ward Nos.7, 31, 36, 37, 38; 1 of Ward Nos. 4, 10, 11, 14, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26, 34, 39.

47 of other areas of Darjeeling district

4 of Kurseong Municipality, 1 of Bijanbari, 22 of Naxalbari, 2 of Phansidewa, 3 of Khoribari, 3 of Matigara and 12 of Rajgunj tested positive.

1 in Alipurduar: 1 new case reported from Falakatta of Alipurduar. In the district there are 260 Confirmed cases, 208 recovered,1 died and 51 active cases. 

50 of Malda: 50 new cases is reported today from Malda. There are 1981 Confirmed cases, 1100 have recovered and 13 died and 68 are active cases. 

20 of Coochbehar: 20 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 534 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 421 recovery and 112 active cases. Lock down in the district is extended for one week. 

28 of Jalpaiguri: 28 new case is reported with 30 recovery from Jalpaiguri today. An inmate of centrail jail and a doctor of Mal Superspeciality hospital have tested positive. In the district there are 1072 confirmed cases of which 715 have recovered, 9 died and 414 active cases.

59 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery, patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super speciality hospital, Desun Covid hospital and from different Safe homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

22 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 5 patients in Surgical ward, 4 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 13 in Gynecological ward. 

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 83 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient of Tungsung-Darjeeling, and 2 from Tamsang- Darjeeling is admitted.

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 66 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 23 are in ICU.

1 each of Singmari Darjeeling and Sukuna is admitted in this hospital.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

41 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital of them 31 are Covid patients.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

None from GTA are admitted in this Safe House.

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

33 patients are admitted in this Safe house.

1 of Barbong- Kurseong is admitted to this Safe House.

TRIBENI Covid Hospital

4 patients of Kalimpong is presently admitted in this hospital. Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital. 

DISHA SAFE HOME

12 Covid patients of Kalimpong district are admitted and being treated here.4 are released today.

ITI SAFE HOME, Gorubathan

4 patients of Gorubathan are being treated here. 

 

QUARANTINE CENTRES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 959 and in Kalimpong district is 641, the tally of GTA area stands to 1600. 

Altogether there are 59 persons in 4 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1877 confirmed cases of which 1259 have recovered and 19 died while 599 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 82 confirmed cases of which 63 have recovered, 1 died and 18 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 269 confirmed cases of which 216 have recovered and 1 died while 52 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1188 confirmed cases of which 10 died while 762 have recovered and 416 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 574 confirmed cases of which 432 have recovered, 1 died and 141 are active cases. 

Malda has 2110 confirmed cases of which 1746 have recovered and 10 died and 354 are active cases.
