Record spike of 39 death, 2112 new cases, 60830 confirmed cases, 19502 active cases, 2166 recovery, recovery rate decreased from 66.72% to 65.62%

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 27 July 2020 : Since 5th July the rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal has been decreasing. On 4th July it reached upto 66.72%, and during the last 24 hours it is 65.62 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has 2112 new cases (1 day before-2341, 2 days before- 2404) as well as 39 death (1 day before-40, 2 days before- 42) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2166 (1 day before-2097, 2 days before- 2125) and confirmed cases is 60830 (1 day before-58718, 2 days before- 56377) while active cases is 19502 (1 day before-19595, 2 days before-19391). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 1411 (1 day before-1372, 2 days before-1332). After recovery of the infection 39917 (1 day before-37751, days before- 35654) Covid patients are released from the hospital.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 57, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 17005 (1 day before-16045, 2 days before-15628) samples were tested that tally 822197 (1 day before-805185, 2 days before- 789140) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 34912 persons (1 day before-34291, 2 days before- 33184) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 400303 persons (1 day before-398012, 2 days before- 395324) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 365391 (1 day-363721, 2 days before- 362140).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 3528 persons (1 day before-3470, 2 days before- 3412) and so far from these centres 104634 persons (1 day before-104468, 2 days before- 104350) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 83 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 28 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
