2 died of Covid in Darjeeling  district

Manoranjan Saha 88 yr and Hasinara Begum, both of Ward No 31, died today at NBMCH.

31 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation infected

Of the 31 persons of SMC testing positive, the positive patients are

5 of Ward No.10; 4 of Ward No.31; 3 of Ward No.30; 2 of Ward Nos.25, 30, 33, 34, 47, 48; 1 of Ward Nos.3, 4,13, 36, 38, 45, 46 tested positive. 

7 of Hill areas of Darjeeling district

2 of Darjeeling including a GJM Darjeeling town party worker (Judge Bazar), 4 of Sukhiapohari and 1 of Kurseong tested positive.

11 in Alipurduar: 11 new cases reported from Alipurduar. It included civic volunteer police personnel and bank officials. In the district there are 271 Confirmed cases, 220 recovered,1 died and 50 active cases. 

15 of Malda:  15 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 1996 Confirmed cases, 1100 have recovered and 13 died and 68 are active cases. 

11 of Coochbehar:  11 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. Infected patients include medical and bank staff. The complete report of the district is 545 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 426 recovery and 118 active cases. 

27 of Jalpaiguri:  27 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Two inmates of Jalpaiguri Centrail Correctional home has tested positive. These include 5 of Jalpaiguri, 9 of Mal, 6 of Maynaguri, 7 of Rajgunj,  In the district there are 1188 confirmed cases of which 762 have recovered, 9 died and 417 active cases.

48 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery, 20 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, and 7 from Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe Homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

22 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 5 patients in Surgical ward, 4 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 13 in Gynecological ward. 

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 80 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient each of Pulbazar and Tungsung-Darjeeling, and 2 from Tamsang- Darjeeling are admitted.

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 78 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 21 are in ICU.

1 of Singmari Darjeeling is admitted in this hospital.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

38 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital, Of these 28 are Covid patients.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

None from GTA are admitted.

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

33 patients are admitted in this Safe house.

1 of Barbong- Kurseong is admitted to this Safe House. 

LIMBUTARY SAFE HOME, PHANSIDEWA

1 patient of Lower Echchhey Kalimpong is admitted.

4 patients of Kalimpong are admitted in this hospital. Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital.

13 Covid patients of Darjeeling are being treated here.

9 Covid patients of Kalimpong district are admitted and being treated here.

ITI SAFE HOME, Gorubathan

4 Covid patients of Gorubathan are being treated here. 

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 879 and in Kalimpong district is 629, the tally of GTA area stands to 1508. 

Altogether there are 44 persons in 3 institutional facility quarantines and 26 patients in 3 Safe Homes of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1939 confirmed cases of which 1346 have recovered and 21 died while 572 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 82 confirmed cases of which 65 have recovered, 1 died and 16 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 280 confirmed cases of which 222 have recovered and 1 died while 57 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1220 confirmed cases of which 10 died while 840 have recovered and 370 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 589 confirmed cases of which 440 have recovered, 1 died and 148 are active cases. 

Malda has 2129 confirmed cases of which 1802 have recovered and 10 died and 317 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1051 confirmed cases of which 655 have recovered and 6 died and 390 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1036 confirmed cases of which 790 have recovered and 6 died and 240 are active cases.
