2 died of Covid :

Saibal Das, 49 yr patient of Kalibari- Alipurduar died in DESUN Hospital, Sonuka Das, 60 yr patient of Sitalapara Bhaktinagar died at RICU of NBMCH.

38 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation infected :

Of the Siliguri Municipal Corporation area, 6 patients of Ward No.4 ; 4 of Ward Nos.2, 42 ; 3 of Ward Nos.20, 46; 2 of Ward Nos.31, 37; 1 of Ward Nos.3, 4, 6, 9, 22, 23, 27, 35, 39, 40, 44, 47 tested positive. 

35 of Darjeeling Kalimpong district and other areas:

3 of Kalimpong, 9 of Kurseong, 5 of Naxalbari, 18 of Matigara and others of Darjeeling district tested positive.

96 of Malda:  96 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 2119 Confirmed cases, 1504 have recovered and 16 died and 599 are active cases. 

30 of Jalpaiguri:  30 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. 2 of Jalpaiguri, 13 of Rajgunj, 8 of Matelli tested positive. In the district there are 1251 confirmed cases of which 872 have recovered, 11 died and 368 active cases.

26 of Coochbehar:  1 dead and 26 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. Infected patients include police personnel and bank staff. The complete report of the district is 592 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 443 recovery and 148 active cases. 

4 in Alipurduar: One Saibal Das, 49 yr of Kalibari- Alipurduar died in DESUN Hospital, 4 new cases reported from Alipurduar. It includes one doctor and 3 Asha workers. In the district there are 311 Confirmed cases, 220 recovered, 3 died and 88 active cases.  

35 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery, 18 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, and 12 from Desun Covid hospital and Triveni hospital and 5 others from Safe Homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

18 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 3 patients in Isolation Ward-1, 3 patients in Surgical ward, 9 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 3 in Gynecological ward. 

1 of Bom Busty –GTA is admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 77 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient each of Subedar Busty-Kurseong, Pulbazar and 2 from Tamsang- Darjeeling are admitted.

1 of Tungsung-Darjeeling released.

DESUN COvid hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 62 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 17 are in ICU.

1 each of Singmari and Haridashatta Darjeeling are admitted in this hospital.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

38 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital, Of these 26 are Covid patients.

7 patients of Kalimpong and 4 of Darjeeling are admitted in this hospital. Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital.

2 Covid patients of Kalimpong district are admitted and being treated here.

4 Covid patients of Gorubathan are being treated here. 

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 913 and in Kalimpong district is 607, the tally of GTA area stands to 1520. 

Altogether there are 42 persons in 3 institutional facility quarantines and 19 patients in 3 Safe Homes of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 2044 confirmed cases of which 1444 have recovered and 22 died while 578 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 85 confirmed cases of which 71 have recovered, 1 died and 13 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 330 confirmed cases of which 229 have recovered and 1 died while 100 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1262 confirmed cases of which 11 died while 901 have recovered and 350 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 638 confirmed cases of which 479 have recovered, 1 died and 158 are active cases. 

Malda has 2265 confirmed cases of which 1888 have recovered and 11 died and 366 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1145 confirmed cases of which 749 have recovered and 7 died and 389 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1143 confirmed cases of which 839 have recovered and 7 died and 297 are active cases.'
