Record spike of 39 death, 2291 new cases, 49321 confirmed cases, 18450 active cases, 1615 recovery, recovery rate decreased from 66.72% to 60.11% .
KalimNews, Kalimpong, 22 July 2020 : Since 5th July the rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal has been decreasing. On 4th July it has reached upto 66.72%, from the very day it has been decreasing. Only after three days it is slowly increasing and during the last 24 hours it is 60.11 percent.
In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has 2291 new cases (1 day before-, 2 days before- 2261) as well as 39 death (1 day before-35, 2 days before- 35) is recorded in the last 24 hours.
The total number of recovery is 1615 (1 day before-1617, 2 days before- 1535) and confirmed cases is 49321 (1 day before-47030, 2 days before- 44769) while active cases is 18450 (1 day before-17813, 2 days before-17204). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 1221 (1 day before-1182, 2 days before-1147).
After recovery of the infection 29650 (1 day before-28035, days before- 26418) Covid patients are released from the hospital.
The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 56, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 14040 (1 day before-13064, 2 days before-13081) samples were tested that tally 743469 (1 day before-729429, 2 days before- 716365) till now since day 1.
In the last 24 hours, 31320 persons (1 day before-32304, 2 days before- 31329) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 385459 persons (1 day before-382434, 2 days before- 379049) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.
Number of people released from home quarantine was 354139 (1 day-350130, 2 days before- 347720).
Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 3489 persons (1 day before-3687, 2 days before- 3702) and so far from these centres 103997 persons (1 day before-103645, 2 days before- 103630) were released after recovery.
Currently in the state there are 81 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 27 Government Covid hospitals and 54 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
