1 died of Covid

Pradip Soni 55 yr patient of Islampur died of Covid in Desun hospital, last night. He had co-morbidities but tested positive.

58 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation

Of the 58 persons of SMC, 33 persons under Darjeeling district and 25 under Jalpaiguri district tested positive to Covid-19 within 24 hrs, these include 2 doctors of Siliguri District hospital.  

The positive patients are 7 of ward No.40, 5 of ward No. 27; 3 of ward No. 17, 2, 31; 2 of ward No.9 , 24, 41; 1 each of ward No. 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 10, 13, 18, 24, 35, 37, 40, 43, 47.

Beside them, 1 in Champasari 5 in Naxalbari, 4 in Matigara, 1 in Phansidewa also were infected of the virus.

14 in Darjeeling

7 of Darjeeling, 2 of Sukhiapokhari, 2 of Bijanbari,  3 of Sukuna have reported to have tested positive.

108 in Sikkim

Record positive cases in Sikkim is recorded today. 108 persons have tested positive. It includes 5 ITBP personnel, 37 from Mamring, 33 from,Chanatar, 19 from Rangpo, 3 from Singtam, 1 each from Rongli and Timburbong.

Malda:  Record 56 new cases is reported today from Malda. Ratua I has the highest number of infected persons. There are 1747 Confirmed cases, 941 have recovered and 7 died and 799 are active cases. 

Coochbehar:  39 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today.Udhyan Guha MLA of Dinhatta The complete report of the district is 437 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 367 recovery and 81 active cases. Lock down in the district is extended for one week.

Jalpaiguri:  5 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 875 confirmed cases of which 553 have recovered, 4 died and 318 active cases.

Alipurduar: 5 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 224 Confirmed cases, 197 recovered,1 died and 26 active cases. 

70 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super speciality hospital, 31 from Desun Covid hospital and other Covid hospital and different Safe homes 24 patients are discharged today.

NBMCH

There are 18 patients in four Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 1 in Isolation Ward –I, 6 in Surgical Ward, 3 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 8 in Gynecological ward. 

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 99 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient of Tungsung, Darjeeling is admitted.

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 76 Covid-19 patients are admitted of them 23 are in ICU.

1 each of Tindharia and Kalimpong is admitted.   

31 were released from this hospital, today.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

42 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital of them 28 are Covid patients.

TRIBENI Covid Hospital

Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital. Presently there are 2 patients of Darjeeling in Triveni hospital.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

1 of Tindharia and 3 of Mirik are admitted.

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

66 are admitted. 1 each of Mirik, Sukuna and Kurseong is admitted to this Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 22 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1257 and in Kalimpong district is 759, the tally of GTA area stands to 1916. 

Altogether there are 69 persons in 5 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the five districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1467 confirmed cases of which 894 have recovered and 15 died while 558 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 73 confirmed cases of which 58 have recovered, 1 died and 14 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 229 confirmed cases of which 206 have recovered and 1 died while 22 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 921 confirmed cases of which 4 died while 555 have recovered and 362 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 474 confirmed cases of which 359 have recovered and 115 are active cases. 

Malda has 1885 confirmed cases of which 1307 have recovered and 7 died and 571 are active cases.
