Record recovery of 62 patients, 2 died of Covid, 96 of Malda, 33 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, 18 of Darjeeling, 3 of Kalimpong, 47 of Jalpaiguri, tested positive

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 19 July 2020: 

2 died in Siliguri: A 70 year old woman of Church Road and a 55 year old of Bhaktinagar died at NBMCH.

33 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation tested positive : 

5 of Ward no.39, 4 of Ward no.2, 3 of Ward no.27, 40, 2 of Ward nos. 17, 46, 47, 1 each of Ward no. 8, 10, 19, 25, 27, 32, 35, 36, 41, 47, Bhaktinagar, Khalpara.

21 of Darjeeling & Kalimpong district- 3 of Kalimpong, 5 of Phansidewa, 3 of Naxalbari (medical staff of Bengdubi Army hospital), 6 of Matigara (including 1 doctor), 2 of Dabgram-2, 1 of Phulbari-2, Salbari.

Coochbehar: 10 government and administrative officials of different departments,  NBSTC, Police station, deputy magistrates, Chairperson of Coochbehar Municipality, tested positive as such complete lockdown will be observed for another seven days in Coochbehar.

2 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. It includes 5 government officials. The complete report of the district is 396 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 340 recovery and 55 active cases. Lock down in the district is extended for 8 more days.

Malda:  Record 96 new cases and 1 death reported today from Malda. Ratua I has the highest number of infected persons. There are 1626 Confirmed cases, 941 have recovered and 7 died and 678 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  47 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri today. 10 police personnel of Banarhat Police Station. In the district there are 776 confirmed cases of which 479 have recovered, 4 died and 303 active cases. Lockdown in the district is extended for another seven days.

Alipurduar: No new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 216 Confirmed cases, 196 recovered,1 died and 19 active cases. 

62 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Superspeciality hospital, Desun Covid hospital and different Safe homes are discharged.,

NBMCH

There are 24 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 3 in Isolation Ward –I, 7 in Surgical Ward, 5 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 9 in Gynecological ward. 5 tested positive today.

1 patient of Lingsey, Kalimpong is released from NBMCH.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 64 patients are admitted today. 

There is 1 patient of Kalimpong, GTA, 1 patient of  Tukvar Darjeeling  is released today.

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 83 Covid-19 patients are admitted of them 21 are in ICU.

1 each of Tindharia and Kalimpong are admitted.   

TRIBENI Covid Hospital

Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital. Presently there are 1 patient of Darjeeling and 2 patients of Kalimpong in Triveni hospital. Released 2 patients from Darjeeling.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

1 of Tindharia and 3 of Mirik are admitted.

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

1 of Mirik and 1 of Kurseong are admitted to this Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 19 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1330 and in Kalimpong district is 866, the tally of GTA area stands to 1329. 

Altogether there are 75 persons in 8 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1302 confirmed cases of which 768 have recovered and 14 died while 520 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 64 confirmed cases of which 55 have recovered, 1 died and 8 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 218 confirmed cases of which 193 have recovered and 1 died while 24 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 776 confirmed cases of which 3 died while 479 have recovered and 294 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 404 confirmed cases of which 318 have recovered and 86 are active cases. 

Malda has 1715 confirmed cases of which 1069 have recovered and 7 died and 639 are active cases.
