Record 743 new cases and 595 recovery ( 66.72%) reported in West Bengal-, 6329 active cases, 21231 confirmed cases, 19 death (Total death 736)

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 4 July 2020: In West Bengal a record and encouraging recovery of cases equivalent to 66.72 percent is recorded, though the number of new cases is increasing in a slow rate.

In the state a record 743 new cases (1 day before-669, 2 days before- 619) as well as 19 death (1 day before-18, 2 days before-16) and 595 recovery (1 day before-534, 2 days before-509) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 21231 (1 day before-20488, 2 days before-19819) while active cases is 6329 (1 day before-6200, 2 days before-6083). The death toll from the disease till now is 736 (1 day before-717, 2 days before-699).

After recovery of the infection 14166 (1 day before-13571, days before-13037) Covid patients are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 66.72%.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 51, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 11018 (1 day before-11053, 2 days before-10405) samples were tested that tally 530072 (1 day before-519054, 2 days before-508001) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 49273 persons (1 day before-51770, 2 days before-53903) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 324903 persons (1 day before-321394, 2 days before-317875) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 275630 (1 day before-269624, 2 days before-263972).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 6057 persons (1 day before-6287, 2 days before- 6449) and so far from these centres 98037 persons (1 day before-97807, 2 days before-97290) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 78 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 25 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
