Record 17813 active cases, 47030 confirmed cases, -35 death, 2261 new cases, 1617 recovery, recovery rate decreased from 66.72% to 59.61%

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 July 2020 :In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has 2261 new cases (1 day before-2282, 2 days before- 2278) as well as 35 death (1 day before-35, 2 days before- 36) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

Since 5th July the rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal has been decreasing. On 4th July it has reached upto 66.72%, from the very day it has been decreasing and during the last 24 hours it is 59.61 percent.

The total number of recovery is 1617 (1 day before-1535, 2 days before- 1344) and confirmed cases is 47030 (1 day before- 44769, 2 days before- 42487) while active cases is 17813 (1 day before-17204, 2 days before-16492). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 1182 (1 day before-1147, 2 days before-1112).

After recovery of the infection 28035 (1 day before-26418, days before- 24883) Covid patients are released from the hospital.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 54, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 13064 (1 day before-13081, 2 days before-13471) samples were tested that tally 729429 (1 day before-716365, 2 days before- 703284) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 32304 persons (1 day before-31329, 2 days before- 31320) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 382434 persons (1 day before-379049, 2 days before- 376941) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 350130 (1 day-347720, 2 days before- 345621).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 3687 persons (1 day before-3702, 2 days before- 3732) and so far from these centres 103645 persons (1 day before-103630, 2 days before- 103348) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 81 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 27 Government Covid hospitals and 54 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
