6 died of Covid

Today within last 24 hours 6 persons died of Covid-19. A 72 yr old of Matigara, 78 yr of Deshbandhupara, Jalpaiguri died in DESUN hospital. 

A 49 yr old of Sevoke Road, 78 yr of Bihar and 68 yr and 72 yr old of Birpara died in a nursing home. 

7 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation infected 

These 7 are -2 of Ward no.5, 1of Ward no. 3, 40, 46, 47, 

11 of Darjeeling: 1 in Champasari, 5 in Naxalbari, 4 in Matigara, 1 in Phansidewa, tested positive,  

Lockdown in Siliguri is extended for 7 more days. Covid patients will be treated in two more hospitals of Siliguri and they are Paramount Hospital and Agrasen Hospital.

9 of Kalimpong tested positive: In the last 24 hours 9 persons of Kalimpong have tested positive. Of these 8 are from Kalimpong Municipality area while 1 is a health staff from Sombaray Bazar Gorubathan. 

They are sent to Disha Safe Home except 1. Of these almost all have travel history except a health staff. Altogether Kalimpong  

Coochbehar:  7 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 414 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 361 recovery and 52 active cases. Lock down in the district is extended for one week.

Malda:  Record 56 new cases is reported today from Malda. Ratua I has the highest number of infected persons. There are 1747 Confirmed cases, 941 have recovered and 7 died and 799 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri:  8 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 990 confirmed cases of which 565 have recovered, 4 died and 333 active cases. Lockdown is implemented in Banarhat as 14 of police personnel of Banarhat Police Station.Lockdown in the district is extended for another seven days

Alipurduar: 3 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 216 Confirmed cases, 196 recovered,1 died and 19 active cases. 

24 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super speciality hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other Covid hospital and different Safe homes 24 patients are discharged today. 

NBMCH

There are 20 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 

There are 2 in Isolation Ward –I, 3 in Surgical Ward, 7 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 8 in Gynecological ward. 

1 patient of Tungsung, Darjeeling is admitted from NBMCH. 

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 91 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient of Tungsung , Darjeeling is admitted.

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 76 Covid-19 patients are admitted of them 23 are in ICU.

1 each of Tindharia and Kalimpong is admitted.   

2 patients died. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

42 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital of them 28 are Covid patients.

TRIBENI Covid Hospital

Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital. Presently there are 2 patients of Darjeeling in Triveni hospital.

1 patient of Kalimpong is released. 

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

1 of Tindharia and 3 of Mirik are admitted. 

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

66 are admitted. 1 each of Mirik, Sukuna and Kurseong is admitted to this Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1257 and in Kalimpong district is 759, the tally of GTA area stands to 1916. 

Altogether there are 69 persons in 5 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1432 confirmed cases of which 891 have recovered and 14 died while 527 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 70 confirmed cases of which 56 have recovered, 1 died and 13 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 224 confirmed cases of which 204 have recovered and 1 died while 19 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 898 confirmed cases of which 4 died while 553 have recovered and 341 are active cases. 

CoochBehar has 439 confirmed cases of which 359 have recovered and 80 are active cases. 

Malda has 1855 confirmed cases of which 1182 have recovered and 7 died and 666 are active cases.
