57 Recovered, 5 Covid death, 26 of Siliguri Municipality, 1 of Kalimpong, 10 of Coochbehar, 49 of Malda, 28 of Jalpaiguri, 4 of Alipurduar tested positive

5 died of Covid

A 54 yr old woman of  Bhaktinagar died in the RICU unit of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital last night. She was a Covid patient but after her death she tested negative.

A 56 yr old resident of Anandanagar Maynaguri died at Desun hospital.

A 53 yr old CPM leader of Ward No. 31 of SMC died in a private nursing home today.

A 55 yr old of Naxalbari died in Desun  hospital. He was referred by the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital to this hospital.

A 67 yr old man from Ward No. 24 of SMC died in at Desun hospital. 

38 of Darjeeling district infected;

26 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation

Of the 26 persons of SMC testing positive, the positive patients are 2 of Ward Nos.40, 2, Jyotinagar, Khalpara; 1 each of Ward Nos. 7, 8, 15, 17, 27, 30, 38, Deshbandhupara, Hakimpara, SR colony, South colony and  SIliguri Correctional home.

12 of other areas of Darjeeling district

8 of Bengdubi Army area under Naxalbari, 4 of Matigara (SSB and BSF Jawan, nurse and a BDO office staff) tested positive.

1 of Kalimpong

1 of Gorubathan under district Kalimpong tested positive, she is relative of a patient recently tested positive and is now under treatment.

Malda:  One 80 yr old patient died in Malda, 49 new cases is reported today from Malda. 3 persons (including one Congress politicial leader and an advocate), died within the last 24 hours. There are 1876 Confirmed cases, 1356 have recovered, 7 died and 523 are active cases. 

Coochbehar:  10 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 479 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 367 recovery and 92 active cases. Lock down in the district is extended for one week.

Jalpaiguri:  1 person of Maynaguri died, 28 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri today. 6 persons from Mal Bazar (One Asha worker and her daughter, a staff of Mal hospital), 3 from Tesimilla and 1 from Oodlabari have  tested positive. Till now 1 of Bagrakote died of Covid-19, 22 from Oodlabari, 63 from Mal Bazar are infected. Others of the district are 7 of Maynaguri, 4 of Rajgunj.

In the district there are 913 confirmed cases of which 553 have recovered, 5 died and 355 active cases.

Alipurduar: 4 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 228 Confirmed cases, 208 recovered,1 died and 19 active cases. 

57 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery, 16 from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super speciality hospital, 13 from Desun Covid hospital and others from different Safe homes are discharged today.

NBMCH

There are 17 patients in four Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 1 in Isolation Ward –I, 2 in Surgical ward, 9 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 5 in Gynecological ward. 

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 81 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient of Tungsung-Darjeeling, Kurseong and Gorubathan and 2 from Tamsang- Darjeeling is admitted.

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 55 Covid-19 patients are admitted of them 15 are in ICU.

1 of Singmari Darjeeling is released is released.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

41 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital of them 29 are Covid patients.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

None from GTA are admitted.

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

1 each of Mirik, and Kurseong is admitted to this Safe House. 

21 are released.

GTA

TRIBENI Covid Hospital

No patient from GTA area is admitted.

DISHA SAFE HOME

12 Covid patients of Kalimpong district are being treated here.

ITI Gorubathan

1 patient of Gorubathan is being treated hereGovernment of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital. 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1091 and in Kalimpong district is 749, the tally of GTA area stands to 1840. 

Altogether there are 70 persons in 6 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.
