56 yr old Sabita Shil of Debijhora Chopra died at Desun Hospital

76 yr Old of Bagrakote Jalpaiguri died at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.

59 yr old Jitendranath Das of Ward no 10 of Islampur died at Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid Hospital

48 of Darjeeling district infected;

38 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation

Of the 34 persons of SMC, The positive patients are 6 of ward No.32, 2 of ward No.39, 40, 4; 1 each of ward No. 2, 9, 13, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 25, 28, 33, 34, 35, 38, 41, 42, 43, 44, 46,

Darjeeling district

10 of Darjeeling district other than Siliguri Municipal Corporation tested positive. They are from 5 of Naxalbari (Bengdubi military hospital), Phansidewa, Bagrakote, Tin batti, Champasari GP,  Dabgram GP.

During the last 24 hrs 1 of Darjeeling Municipality, 2 of Sukhipokhari, 2 of Bijanbari, 3 of Sukuna, 2 of Tindharia, 1 of Barbung- Kurseong and a woman from 7th Mile Kalimpong tested positive.

Complete lockdown from 26th July to 1st August in the four Municipality of Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Kurseong and Mirik as well as town area of Sukhiapokhari, Bijanbari, Pokhriabong, Tindharia and Sukuna is declared by the GTA authority.

Malda:  Record 54 new cases is reported today from Malda. There are 1827 Confirmed cases, 1307 have recovered and 7 died and 513 are active cases. 

Coochbehar:  20 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 437 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 367 recovery and 81 active cases. Lock down in the district is extended for one week.

Jalpaiguri:  24 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 885 confirmed cases of which 553 have recovered, 4 died and 328 active cases.

Alipurduar: No new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 224 Confirmed cases, 197 recovered,1 died and 26 active cases. 

32 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super speciality hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other Covid hospital and different Safe homes 32 patients are discharged today.

NBMCH

There are 20 patients in four Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 1 in Isolation Ward –I, 9 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 10 in Gynecological ward.  1 patient of Sittong is admitted oday.

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 85 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient of Tungsung, Darjeeling, Kurseong and Gorubathan is admitted.

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 58 Covid-19 patients are admitted of them 15 are in ICU.

1 of Bagora Kurseong is admitted.   

1 of Tindharia is released is released.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

42 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital of them 28 are Covid patients.

TRIBENI Covid Hospital

Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital. All 3 patients of Darjeeling are released from Triveni hospital.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

1 of Tindharia and 3 of Mirik are admitted.

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

66 are admitted. 1 each of Mirik, Sukuna, Phansidewa and Kurseong is admitted to this Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 23 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1182 and in Kalimpong district is 756, the tally of GTA area stands to 1938. 

Altogether there are 72 persons in 6 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the five districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1532 confirmed cases of which 1009 have recovered and 15 died while 508 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 74 confirmed cases of which 58 have recovered, 1 died and 15 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 234 confirmed cases of which 207 have recovered and 1 died while 26 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 945 confirmed cases of which 4 died while 592 have recovered and 349 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 494 confirmed cases of which 378 have recovered and 116 are active cases. 

Malda has 1941 confirmed cases of which 1412 have recovered and 7 died and 522 are active cases.
