2 dies of Covid in Malda, 19 from Siliguri, 1 of Kalimpong, 30 of Malda, 11 of Jalpaiguri, 2 of Alipurduar tested positive

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 3 July 2020: 

Siliguri: 19 of SMC and 1 of Matigara tested positive: 5 of Ward no.4 (16, 26, 29, 32, 40 yr- four are of a  family), 4 of Ward no.9 (22, 26, 28, 30 yr- 3 nurses and a technical staff contacts of a doctor of a nursing home who tested positive some days ago, 3 of Ward no.14 (18, 56, 65 yr), 1 each of Ward no.2 (34 yr), Ward no.5 (56 yr), Ward no.25 (33 yr), Ward no.28 (23 yr), Ward no.31 (26 yr), Ward no.36 (42 yr) and one of Matigara (21 yr).

Of the above includes- one staff of Uttarkanya.

Doctor of Kalimpong District tests positive: One doctor of a Block hospital (BPHC) of Kalimpong district tested positive. His contact staff are quarantined and the office of the health centre is closed for 5 days for sanitisation.

Ashok Bhattacharya tested negative: Ashok Bhattacharya, Ex Mayor and present Chairman of SMC is Ashoke Bhattacharya, present chairman of Siliguri Municipal corporation has tested negative twice. Due to his comorbidity he is still not released.

216 returns from Dubai: 216 returnees of Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Alipurduar and Kolkata from Dubai and Saharjahan arrived at Bagdogra by a chartered plane of Air Arabia. All were quarantined at paid quarantine facilities provided by the Darjeeling administration and GTA. 

Recovery: 29 patients are released from three Covid hospitals.They were released from Desun Covid hospital, Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital and Triveni Hospital.

Malda: 2 Covid patients died, one 75 yr, another 79 yr old died in Malda. 30 new cases reported from Malda. There are 707 Confirmed cases, 431 recovered, 2 died and 274 active cases.

Alipurduar:   2 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 190 Confirmed cases, 141 recovered and 49 active cases.

Jalpaiguri:  11 new cases recorded from Jalpaiguri. Tally of district is 364 Confirmed cases of which 294 have recovered, 4 died and 66 are active cases.

Coochbehar:  No new case of Covid 19 infection reported since three days. The complete report of the district is 297 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 295 recovery and 1 active cases.

NBMCH

There are 9 patients in the three Isolation Ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 1 patient in Isolation Ward-1, 2 patients in Surgical Isolation Ward, 5 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU) and 1 patient in Gynecological Isolation unit are admitted. 

5 patients tested positive.

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 60 patients are admitted today.

 

DESUN hospital

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Darjeeling district. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 42 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

Tribeni Hospital

There are 3 patients of Darjeeling and 3 of Kalimpong today.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

No patient is admitted in Hatighisa Safe House. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 3 July 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1715 and in Kalimpong district is 1180, the tally of GTA area stands to 2895. 

Altogether there are 64 persons in 7 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 528 confirmed cases of which 301 have recovered and 10 died while 217 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 55 confirmed cases of which 48 have recovered, 1 died and 6 are active cases. Alipurduar has 186 confirmed cases of which 175 have recovered while 11 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 364 confirmed cases of which 1 died while 294 have recovered and 69 are active cases. CoochBehar has 305 confirmed cases of which 300 have recovered and 5 are active cases. Malda has 706 confirmed cases of which 431 have recovered and 1 died and 268 are active cases.
